🦈 Giving Sharks & Rays a Voice

Freedom belongs to everyone, from the land to the depths of the ocean. And when those who cannot speak for themselves need a voice, that is when we must stand up for them.

Yesterday, in collaboration with Coralreefcare, Indonesia Biru Foundation joined the students of SD 3 Tanjung Luar in a parade to raise awareness about shark and ray conservation, not only within the school community but also among the wider community.

The parade was well attended, and it was amazing to see how the shark and ray costumes worn by the students caught the attention of local communities, children, and even students from other schools.
We also brought conservation posters to help spread the message and highlight the importance of protecting these incredible animals. It may seem like a small action, but we hope that, little by little, it can help change the way people see sharks and raysnot as frightening creatures or simply something to be sold, but as an important part of our ocean ecosystem.

Restoring Mangroves, Strengthening Our Coast🌱

To celebrate World Mangrove Day on July 26, 2026, Indonesia Biru Foundation, .id, , and came together through the Indonesia Financial Group (IFG) CSR Program to restore mangrove ecosystems in Cemare, West Lombok.

Together, we planted 500 Rhizophora sp. mangrove seedlings as part of “From Ridge to Reef: Reviving Critical Ecosystems of Lombok Island.”

Small actions, when done together, can grow into something bigger for our coast, our communities, and our future. 🌱🌊

Let’s keep growing, restoring, and protecting our mangroves.

Restoring Mangroves, Strengthening Our Coast🌱

To celebrate World Mangrove Day on July 26, 2026, Indonesia Biru Foundation, sebumi.id, Rinjani-Lombok UNESCO Global Geopark, and Ekowisata Cemare Eco Green Mangrove Society collaborated through the Indonesia Financial Group (IFG) CSR Program, “From Ridge to Reef: Reviving Critical Ecosystems of Lombok Island.”

As part of the program, 500 Rhizophora sp. mangrove seedlings were planted at Cemare Beach, West Lombok. This activity aims to strengthen coastal resilience against erosion while supporting mangrove habitat restoration.

Through this collaboration, we believe that conservation is not only about restoring ecosystems, but also about building meaningful partnerships to create a lasting impact for nature and communities. 🌱

What if shark conservation could be this fun?🦈

A few months ago, we introduced them to sharks and rays. And today, we came back to see what they remembered. Do these sixth graders still remember?

Yapsie! They were so excited to answer every question. Their enthusiasm reminded us that conservation education can be both fun and impactful. Through it, we also learned something new about sharks and rays conservation. We believe, learning about sharks doesn't have to start in the ocean, it can start in a classroom.👌
