Today we have 4 kids receiving cancer treatment as inpatients, 1 baby in PICU and a young mum with a brain tumour awaiting a treatment plan.
Am wondering where the kids parents get their strength from and how a young mum copes with such a bombshell?
We try our best to give emotional support, provide nasi bungkus, fruit, snacks and daily essentials.
We develop deep bonds with our SoleBuddies and our team is affected deeply.

This is Made Rendra. He’s 9 years old, and honestly, one of the strongest we know.

Today he’s sitting patiently, crafting his own kite — carefully shaping it piece by piece, ready to watch it catch the wind. It’s a small, joyful moment. But what makes it remarkable is that Made lives every day with a painful skin disorder, and still, he shows up with curiosity, resilience, and a smile that lifts everyone around him.

Made is one of our SoleBuddies — a community of children facing this condition together, supporting one another through the hard days and celebrating the good ones, like today.

A food parcel makes a huge difference for our SoleBuddies.
Bloyod has severe enduring mental health issues and lives with his very elderly, frail parents.
Today they hadnt eaten as no food or money available to buy some. They were all very hungry! Ibu wept as we gave her her first full food parcel and was cooking before we left.

UPDATE - He remains critical sadly

2ND UPDATE, 8th August he remains critical . Mum is so strong and never leaves his side .

Please send your love and prayers to baby Arka who is currently in a critical and unstable condition in PICU after becoming unwell on Sunday. He is accompanied by his doting mum.
His short life has been complicated by multiple, serious health issues necessitating many hospital admissions.

In partnership with our friends at Let's Help Bali, we bought his wheelchair and his world has just opened up and his dad doesnt need to carry him everywhere now.
