We have a very sad, terrified 12 year boy staying with us. He is facing chemo for probable bone cancer.
He has been in agony , a pain causing him not to want to eat and to cry.
This morning he attended a private consultation and his analgesia reviewed again. We hope the biopsy will be brought forward so can start his treatment sooner.
In the meantime, we need to cheer him up.
Does anybody have any teenage games , clothes or wish to donate to a wheelchair with leg rests.
His father is also very worried as has no money for incidentals. All basic needs are met here but needs some pocket money.

We are unable to take any photos currently as he is very sad and would breach our child protection guidelines

We need to cheer him up and take some pressure off his dad.

2 AUD buys a good quality protein and veg for a family for 1 day. Full tummies of nutritious food.
8 AUD buys 5kg good quality rice , enough to feed an average family for approximately 5 days.Rice is life here!
10 AUD buys a pack of good quality disposable nappies. Reusable nappies are only suitable for those with washing facilities.
25 AUD funds a private consultation with a specialist Dr at a government hospital. This helps us to optimise medical care for our SoleBuddies. After treatment is covered mostly by BPJS ( government health card)
30 AUD buys 25kg good quality rice, a gift every family loves and brings a huge smile when receive.
35 AUD provides 1 tin or Pediasure or Ensure for our malnourished or immunosuppressed SoleBuddies.
80 AUD provides a large food parcel with all the basics including 20kg rice, some tinned and fresh produce and toiletries. Fights hunger and relieves the stress of financing good food allowing families more time to care for their loved ones with health issues
150 AUD provides a mattress, pillows and bedding to enable a SoleBuddy to have a comfortable nights sleep which in turn aids recovery.
200 AUD provides a comfortable wheelchair enabling the user to access the outdoors and be more independent.
400 AUD per month covers 1 car finance. We have 3 in need of sponsorship and would prominently display your logo on it.

The dedication of our team is second to none.
One of our team was called out during the night as a teenage SoleBuddy was crying in pain. He was taken to the emergency dept, pain relief given and he is now settled back at SoleCentre.
