Kubu Marine Park initiated a beach, road, forest and canal clean-up campaign on December 10th. Participants included the entire staff of Siddhartha Oceanfront Resort & Spa, Siddhartha Dive Centre, the military and police posts, Korami with Babinsa from Kubu, the Banjar and Adat administration including the Kepala Desa, employees of the Camat office, employees of the DLH government office for environmental affairs in Amlapura, two classes from SDN 1 school in Kubu, porters and fishermen, and employees of Pebbles & Fins. For 2.5 hours, assigned areas were cleaned of plastic, paper, etc. The campaign was very successful. All participants were rewarded with a sturdy Kubu Marine Park bag – and of course there was food and drinks too. The collected waste was sorted and packed for our recycling partners to be picked up. 🤗
