Tonga 2025 Week 2 Recap!

While we faced some challenging weather the whale action was still unreal for our second week of expeditions in Tonga this year! Our guests were ready to charge into wind and rain a they were well rewarded with incredible encounters and unique behaviors from humpback whales as well as an exciting multispecies encounter between a humpback and false killer whales! Not to forget more time enjoying vivid reef scapes and mysterious caves!

A big thank you to all of our guests who joined us this year, we cannot wait will next season! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you are interested in joining us next season! We’ve just got a couple spots left for this adventure of a lifetime!

Tonga 2025 Week 1 Recap!!

Here are just a handful of many amazing moments with whales, other wildlife, and spent on reefs from our first week of expeditions in Tonga this season! We encountered a wide variety of humpback whales including peaceful mom and calf pairs, intense heat runs, whales over the shallows reef and more as well as seeing other species of dolphins and whales like pilot whales as well! Not to forget quality time spent on the lively reefs of Vavau and exploring stunning caves!

Our second expedition this year is a Liveaboard in Komodo National Park! This year we went on a personal trip to Komodo and we were blown away by the biodiversity and abundance of life in the area, we immediately knew that we needed to return and bring you with us! This trip includes 15-18 dives, trekking on the beautiful islands of Komodo, visiting the famous Komodo Dragons, and more! We prioritize small dive groups and an intimate experience for both divers and snorkelers/freedivers!

Our first expedition of 2025 is an all inclusive trip to Tonga, the best place in the world to swim with Humpback Whales. Join us for 5 days on the water swimming it whales, exploring sea caves, snorkeling stunning reefs and so much more! This is a for perfect experience for all kinds of ocean lovers. We will also have the opportunity to embrace Tongan culture with a Traditional Tongan Feast and Kava Ceremony!

Meet your guides - .aggergaard

Experienced captain and wildlife guide Andrew Aggergaard has always had a passion for the marine environment and sharing the wonder of the natural world both through his photography and guiding of top-tier ecotourism experiences. Originally from Anacortes Washington, Andrew grew up exploring the Salish Sea with his family-run business Island Adventures Whale Watching. Andrew is now based in Kona, Hawai’i where he co-runs the island’s only year-round pelagic wildlife viewing company, Hawaiian Adventures Kona, along side Marine Naturalist Olivia Miller. When he’s not searching for wildlife in Hawai’i, Andrew is likely traveling to new remote destinations in hopes of exploring and documenting our planet’s many wild places and peoples. Guiding expedition travel will always be one of Andrew’s greatest passions and he cannot wait to share these life changing adventures with you.

Meet your guides -

Olivia is an experienced wildlife guide who has worked around the world as a shark diver, photographer, divemaster and naturalist. Currently Liv is based in Kona, Hawaii working as a naturalist and guide for where she passionately works to educate the public about wildlife. Her background in marine science allows her to bring an educational perspective to our trips so our guests can be informed about the wildlife and the region we are exploring! Liv researches and plans everything for our expeditions to build the perfect trip for you!

Manō Collective will be looking a bit different moving forward! Founded 6 years ago by as an educational platform for shark and ocean conservation we have been able to accomplish a lot in those 6 years! Now is able to educate people in person daily with .

Manō Collective will now be a platform for exclusive small group expedition travel to explore remote regions and observe incredible wildlife all around the world! In each location we explore we work hard to find the best ecotourism operators possible to ensure we have the highest quality experience while also being safe and respectful.
