“Pendidikan Berkelanjutan untuk Mencapai SDGs”

Kegiatan ini menjadi ruang diskusi mengenai bagaimana pendidikan dapat berperan dalam menghadapi berbagai isu lingkungan dan membangun kesadaran keberlanjutan sejak usia dini. Bersama para pembicara, peserta akan diajak membahas pentingnya sustainable education, community approach, hingga learning for sustainability dalam menciptakan masa depan yang lebih baik 🌊📚

MERO Foundation was pleased to welcome back Mrs. Sari from National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), who is currently pursuing her PhD at Newcastle University, for her research activities at MERO Foundation’s Histology Laboratory.

This marks her second visit to MERO Foundation, continuing her research journey focused on ornamental corals and marine biodiversity. Through histological analysis and laboratory-based approaches, her work contributes to a deeper understanding of coral reef ecosystems and marine science research.

Guardian Blue Program

MERO Foundation carried out the Guardian Blue Program with a focus on Beach Cleanup & Upcycling, engaging children from local fishing communities.
This initiative was proudly supported by Bali Dive Resort & Spa Tulamben and aligned with the global movement of International Coastal Cleanup.
Through this program, we invited coastal children to visit MERO, where they learned not only about the importance of keeping our beaches clean, but also how plastic waste can be transformed into something valuable. From beach cleanup activities to hands-on experience in shredding plastic and exploring upcycled products, the session aimed to build both awareness and practical skills ♻️

We believe that empowering young coastal communities is a key step toward creating a more sustainable and resilient future for our oceans #

In March 2026, MERO Foundation had the pleasure of visiting SDN 1 Tulamben, specifically Class 4B, as part of our MERO Goes to School program.
During this session, students learned about simple actions to protect our oceans from waste, especially plastic pollution. The activities included an interactive presentation, followed by completing a workbook designed to strengthen their understanding, and group discussions to build their analytical thinking skills in small teams 🌱

In this session, participants were introduced to the basics of scuba diving, including learning how to use a scuba tank as their first step into exploring the underwater world safely and responsibly
