Another month, another opportunity for us to go on an adventure teach the youngsters about marine life. We further continue our program in April to conduct Climate Change materials to SDN 1 Tulamben, as well as Ames Honeycomb School. It is really great to see them learning more understanding in marine protection and developing simple habits that can safe their own environment.

This June, we managed to conduct another beach cleanup with the Rare Segara Tulamben community. This time, we finished the beach cleanup with the children of Tulamben.

We found a lot of food wrappers, plastic bottles, as well as ciggerates packages along the way. Let us be environmentally conscious and reduce the plastic usage. The better ocean is the ocean where debris is not something we should be worry about 🌊🌊

Fungi is known to produce antimicrobial metabolite to protect themself. They can produce a wide variety of metabolites, some are even specific to bacteria, fungi, virus, and parasite. This helps them to prevent competition with other organisms and to preserve their colony.

Perhaps they are just introverted? Who knows, but either way, these metabolites have been used to treat infectious diseases and wounds.

Through our Guardian Blue program, children from the local coastal community learned about marine debris, joined a beach cleanup, and sorted plastic waste together.

Every lesson, every conversation, and every piece of trash collected is a small step toward a healthier ocean. 🌊
