CIMSA has 23 locals in all around Indonesia, one of them is located in Universitas Jember. CIMSA UNEJ is established as local in October 10th, 2016.

Center for Indonesian Medical Students Activities is a non-profit, non-government, and non-politic organization facilitating medical students of Indonesia who intend to make great impact in nation’s health through activity-based projects. CIMSA UNEJ is founded based on Standing Committees of CIMSA and International Federation of Medical Students’ Association (IFMSA). CIMSA UNEJ has four standing committee, that works based on global health issues, SCORA for reproductive health including AIDS, SCOPH for Public Health, SCORP for human rights and peace, and SCOPE for medical students professional exchange.

Greetings, CIMSA!

In celebration of World Tuberculosis Day (WTBD) 2026, SCOPH CIMSA UNEJ held an activity called PLEURA (Public Lung Education and United Response Against Tuberculosis). This initiative encompassed a variety of activities, including pre activity training, educational sessions, and a social media campaign. The pre activity training focused on “Basic Public Health” and “Tuberculosis”, aiming to prepare members with fundamental knowledge before implementing community interventions.

The insights gained from the training were applied to increase the community’s knowledge and awareness about tuberculosis by conducting educational activities and campaigns. A social media campaign was subsequently carried out to promote awareness about tuberculosis to the wider public.

[CIMSIGHT #54: RAMADAN RESET: SLEEP, MENTAL HEALTH, AND PRODUCTIVITY]

Greetings, CIMSA!

Ramadan is a moment to reset our lifestyle. Changes in sleep, eating, and daily activities can affect energy, focus, and emotions, and without proper management may reduce productivity.

Circadian rhythm disruption during Ramadan can lead to sleep disturbances and fatigue. At the same time, lack of sleep and hunger may increase stress and emotional sensitivity or “hangry”, making mental well being important.

The key lies in quality over quantity through quality sleep, mindful habits, and balanced activities. Simple steps such as sleeping earlier, taking short naps, managing emotions, and maximizing productivity in the morning can help maintain balance.

Ramadan is not a limitation, but an opportunity to grow into a better version of ourselves.

In celebration of *Sexual and Reproductive Health Awareness Day*, SCORA CIMSA UNEJ shared an educational infographic about *Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE)*.

Comprehensive Sexuality Education provides accurate and age-appropriate information about sexuality, relationships, consent, and reproductive health. Through this infographic, we aim to raise awareness and help adolescents make informed, respectful, and responsible decisions.

We hope this initiative can encourage young people to build healthy relationships and protect their well-being. 🌱

In celebration of Earth Day, SCORP CIMSA UNEJ held an educational activity on flood prevention through biopore creation on February 21, 2026.

The recent floods in Jember highlighted the importance of maintaining adequate water absorption areas in our environment. Biopores are a simple yet effective solution to help reduce flooding while supporting environmental sustainability.

Through this activity, we hope to encourage small actions that can create a meaningful impact for a better and more resilient future. 🌿
