Every morning at SLB Budi Mulia starts with growth—literally!

What began as a small-scale hydroponic project has blossomed into a full "Pertanian Mini" (mini farming) program, thanks to the expanded facilities at their new school building built by Happy Hearts Indonesia.

From cucumbers and chili to cassava and bananas, these incredible students are learning valuable, hands-on vocational skills. They plant, nurture, harvest, and even sell their produce—recently joining the East Java Provincial Government's SIKAP program and using their earnings to buy school stationery!

As Principal Putri Dwi Ardhanariswari beautifully puts it, a new school building isn't just brick and mortar—it's a symbol of hope for an inclusive future.

Swipe through to see their amazing journey, and head to the link in our bio to find out how you can help us build more spaces where every child can thrive!

What is the single highest-return investment a nation can make? The answer is education. True social and economic growth begins when public funding is channeled directly into classrooms. 📊💸

However, translating high-level policy into localized impact is a complex journey. Across a vast archipelago, balancing competing development priorities means that resource allocation can sometimes face structural delays—leaving remote, rural schools waiting for critical infrastructure upgrades. 📉

But children in remote regions cannot afford to put their futures on hold.

That is why Happy Hearts Indonesia serves as an active bridge on the ground. While supporting long-term, systemic goals for national education priority, we focus on immediate, tangible relief. To date, we have rebuilt more than 439 schools across Indonesia, bringing safe, sustainable, and resilient access to education directly to the communities that need it most today. 🎒✨

Sustainable development is a collaborative journey, and grassroots action ensures no child is left behind while the broader system evolves.

💬 How can public-private collaborations better accelerate infrastructure support for remote schools? Let’s share ideas in the comments!
