Halo Sampurasun? Rampes!
For our latest member achievements series, please allow us to introduce Dwita Dwita – Mensa Indonesia’s National Supervisory Psychologist (NSP) and definitely one of our most shining stars.
This Universitas Indonesia graduate had originally planned to be an illustrator. But she googled “jurusan yang bisa jadi apa saja” then chose psychology as her major cause you know art major got frowned upon especially when you grew up ‘gifted’ and ‘math loving’. Turned out, one particular insightful class there inspired Dwita that through the mix of psychology and philosophy, she can help people to realize their essence as human beings.
In addition to being our NSP, this Jill of All Trades currently juggles the following roles simultaneously:
1. Freelance consulting for gifted children (including several Mensa Kids members)
2. Regular host for support groups, usually at Halaman Nyala Library & Store in Bogor
3. Podcaster on giftedness: a collaboration with Nancy Dinar of Noble Academy
4. Member of the Assessment & Intervention team of Center for Gifted and Talented Indonesia
5. Co-writer of an emotional encyclopaedia book that will be published by FolxTale next year
6. Lead writer of a children’s book on giftedness and neurodivergence
7. Song writer & performer: her songs are published in SoundCloud – during our chat, we listed to “Fall In by anjani”
8. Amateur poet
9. Recently joined Siap Kuliah as a Learning Specialist
In her past life, Dwita was part of Jacinta Rini’s team at the Bogor branch of BrainFit Indonesia | Brain Training Anak, which labels itself as a brain training centre for children 3-18yo. During her tenure there, Dwita really enjoyed working with not only with gifted children but also children with special needs. Dwita also considers Bu Jacinta as her first mentor as she was really genuine in helping others wholeheartedly. In fact, Dwita’s time at BrainFit persuaded her to pursue a Master’s degree. Dwita also held roles at PT Wong Makmur Sejati and Photon.
