Indonesia, we are a diverse learning community of over 150 students and over 50 volunteers and staff members. We are refugees, Indonesians, and other foreign nationals working together to create a place where people from all walks of life find hope, kindness, an

d life-changing relationships. Roshan is a program of Yayasan Internasional Cahaya Fajar (YICF), a non-profit organization that transforms lives through education, vocation, and community.

A Day of Learning at

Roshan EOS Grade 7 students had the exciting opportunity to visit French School Jakarta! 🇫🇷✨

During their visit, students joined real classroom sessions, experiencing lessons in History, English, and Geography alongside peers in an international learning environment. It was a meaningful chance to explore new perspectives, practice their language skills, and build confidence beyond the classroom.

Moments like these open doors to new possibilities and inspire our students to keep learning, growing, and dreaming bigger 🌍📚

At Roshan, our students recently took part in GED practice tests. 📘✍️ These practice tests aren’t just about measuring progress but also about identifying strengths 💡 and understanding where more support is needed. 🤝

Through each question, our students are sharpening their critical thinking 🧠, strengthening core skills 📚, and becoming more familiar with the format of the official GED exam. 🎓

We’re proud of the focus, determination, and resilience 💪 shown by our students every step of the way. 🌟

Words, laughter, and a little friendly competition. 🌍🎤😂

What happens when English, Arabic, Tigrinya, and Persian all collide in one game? A little chaos… and a whole lot of fun. 😆✨

Our students took on a “language battle” challenge, thinking fast, switching languages, and trying not to laugh mid-sentence. 🤯🗣️ From quick-fire answers to the most unexpected ones, every moment was packed with energy, teamwork, and shared laughter. 🤝😂

Because sometimes, the best way to learn a language isn’t just to study… It’s to play, mix it up, and enjoy the moment. 🎮🌍💬

One word at a time… and suddenly, a whole story comes to life! 🎉

Our students took on the One Word Story challenge, with little laughter, surprises, and creativity at every turn. It’s amazing what can happen when everyone contributes just a single word.💡

🏸✨ Roshan Weekly Badminton is back!

We’re excited to be back on the court with our students, volunteers, and staff, sharing energy, teamwork, and lots of fun. It’s a great way to stay active, boost both physical and mental health, and enjoy time together beyond the classroom. 💪🌿

🌙✨Breaking Fast Together at Roshan✨🌙

There’s something special about sharing a meal after a day of fasting. At Roshan, our Iftar or “buka bersama” is more than just food on the table; it’s about togetherness, gratitude, and community.🤍

Roshan staff, volunteer teachers, and some neighbours from RT/RW gathered to break their fast, share stories, and enjoy simple moments that bring us closer. From laughter over meals, snacks and playing some fun games, every moment reminds us that we grow stronger when we grow together.

Ramadan teaches us compassion, patience, and the beauty of giving, values we strive to carry every day at Roshan.🌿

At Roshan, our EOS program had the pleasure of welcoming students from Sekolah Pelita Harapan (SPH) for a week filled with learning, creativity, and collaboration. 🎨🤝

Together, we explored art, crafts, digital skills 💻, environmental care 🌱, and creative expression ✨ through hands-on activities and shared experiences.

Each year, SPH’s Senior School students embark on Mission Service Learning (MSL) journeys across Indonesia, reaching out to communities in need. MSL serves as a part of unique curriculum that broadens perspectives and nurtures servant hearts, while teaching students to value every person as God’s creation.

Thank you to the SPH students for your time, skills, and genuine enthusiasm. You made this week meaningful for our EOS students. 🤍

🎓✨ A New Beginning: GED 2026
We’re excited to welcome a new group of students to Roshan’s 2026 GED program! Each new enrollment reflects determination, resilience, and the courage to keep moving forward through alternative pathways to education. 💪📚

The General Educational Development (GED) program is an internationally recognized high school equivalency qualification covering four core subjects: Mathematical Reasoning ➗, Reasoning Through Language Arts ✍️, Science 🔬, and Social Studies 🌍. It opens doors for learners who did not complete traditional high school, creating pathways to further education, vocational training, and stronger career opportunities.

At Roshan, we believe education opens doors. 🚪✨ Through structured classes, supportive teachers, and a consistent learning environment, our 2026 GED students are taking an important step toward building brighter futures. 🌟
