From Article I of our 501st Legion Charter (www.501st.com):

"...The Legion is an all-volunteer organization formed for the express purpose of bringing together costume enthusiasts under a collective identity within which to operate. The Legion seeks to promote interest in Star Wars through the building and wearing of quality costumes, and to facilitate the use of these costumes for Star Wars-related events as well as contributions to the local community through costumed charity and volunteer work..." To Promote Interest in Star Wars
While a growing number of people are experiencing a reawakening of their Star Wars fandom, new generations are seeking ways to celebrate their passion for George Lucas's modern mythology. The 501st Legion brings these fans together, reinforcing the enduring longevity of the Star Wars saga. To Facilitate the Use of Costumes
Some fans are content to collect action figures...other fans want to be action figures. Nothing professes your passion quite like building your own detailed costume replica of a classic Star Wars villain, and there's nothing quite like the feeling that comes from bringing the characters of Star Wars into the real world and sharing the magic with others. To Contribute
While our organization was founded to simply provide a collective identity for costuming fans with similar interests, the 501st is proud to put its resources to good use through fundraising, charity work, and volunteerism.

501st Legion Garuda Garrison Indonesia is a non profit organization and is largely based on volunteerism. Our Garrison roster : https://www.501st.com/members/garrisonroster.php?garrisonId=131

A galaxy of fans. A shared purpose. ✨

At Indonesia Comic Con, 3–4 October 2026, Garuda Garrison Indonesia joined forces with our friends from Cathar Base Singapore to turn moments of fandom into support for children’s dreams.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by, took a photo, shared a smile, or made a donation, IDR 7,500,000 was raised for Inspiration Factory Foundation .

Behind every costume is a person who chose to show up. Behind every donation is a reminder that even a small moment of generosity can mean something beyond the convention floor.

To our fellow costumers, the Indonesia Comic Con (ICC) team, and every visitor who supported this effort: thank you for being part of it. This is what our community can do when we come together.

On October 4, Garuda Garrison Indonesia joined Lovepink at Indonesia Goes Pink 2026 in Jakarta. We came in armor, but we stood alongside people whose strength needs no costume.

To the warriors and survivors, the families and friends beside them, and everyone who showed up with a message of support: thank you for letting us share this day with you. Every smile and every conversation reminded us why showing up matters.

Our armor may catch your eye. We hope the message stays with you: keep the conversation about breast cancer going, support one another, and make time to learn about early detection.

Celebrate Strength. Embrace Gratitude.
Bad guys doing good—one pink ribbon at a time. 🩷

Day 1 mission at Indonesia Comic Con (ICC) : Accomplished. 🚀 The 501st Legion, in proud partnership with Inspiration Factory Foundation , wants to thank all the fans for the incredible welcome. We were especially honored to have Chewbacca from Cathar Base Singapore join our ranks today! However, our duty is not yet done. Tomorrow, the mission continues as we deploy to support the Love Pink event before returning to ‘occupy’ ICC for an even bigger Day 2! May the Force be with us all.”
