55 YEARS OF HISTORY. ONE JERSEY TO HONOUR IT ALL.

This is more than a jersey. It’s a piece of Jakarta rugby history, a near-exact replica of the legendary 1979/80 Jakarta RFC jersey worn at the HK7s, brought back to life for our 55th anniversary.

The iconic Dewi Srikandi Warrior Crest. The classic navy and white collar. A design that carried the pride of this club long before many of us ever picked up a ball. 🙏

To every Komodo who has worn this badge across five decades, this one’s for you.

And for those pulling on the jersey in the years to come, every purchase goes directly towards the Jakarta Komodos Juniors Programme, helping grow the next generation of Indonesian Rugby 🏉

A productive and meaningful meeting with Dr. Didik Mukrianto, President of Persatuan Rugby Union Indonesia (PRUI), as Jakarta Komodos continues to strengthen our commitment to the development of rugby in Indonesia. 🏉🇮🇩

Representing Jakarta Komodos were Daniel R Nugroho, Chairman; Kyle Larson, Head of Senior Division; Vincent Sianandar, Head of Junior Division; and Tony McDougall, Head of Veterans Division. The program will be held alongside our annual Jakarta Rugby 10s international tournament, making 2027 a truly memorable year for the Jakarta Komodos community and Indonesian rugby.

The Jakarta Komodos Rugby Football Club (JKRFC) would like to express our deepest gratitude to Johannes Spies for his incredible 14 years of dedication and contribution to the Komodos Junior program (overall contribution to the Junior Section — including his roles as chairman, coach, committee member, and other forms of involvement), succeeding previous chairwoman, Jess Djamhoer in 2019. Your tireless, selfless service has been an outstanding achievement and has shaped the journey of so many young players.

Thank you, Johannes, for everything you have given to the Junior Komodos. Your legacy will continue to inspire us, and we hope to carry your vision forward with your guidance as we prepare the next generation.

As we begin this new chapter, we are now looking for a new Chairman to lead the Junior Komodos program. If you are interested in contributing to the continued growth and success of our juniors, please contact the Central Committee at [email protected].
