Indonesian National Parks Network

Indonesian National Parks Network If you have one week of your time to come to Indonesia and stay in remote areas to volunteer and interact with local tribes, this is the place to do it.

A major objective of INP-Net Initiative is to strengthen the capacity of forest and environmental analysts and decision-makers both within and outside of the Government of Indonesia particularly the Ministry of Forestry and Environment to use geospatial technologies and data to inform important management, policy and planning decision of the National Parks. Capacity to use information is strongly

affected by differences and limitation to access, in which indigenous people or communities in the remote areas of the National Parks may lack the education to fully understand technical information and often have different and challenging social structures through which to implement decisions. INP-Net Initiative will take into account these differences, challenges and opportunities and make extra-mile efforts to build capacity and provide multiple benefits to all stakeholder groups.
