Liburan seharusnya jadi pengalaman menyenangkan.

On April 13, in Karangasem, A-PAD Indonesia took a new step by kicking off a program to strengthen the resilience of the tourism sector and communities.
Through the DEWATA-TANA initiative, Tulamben Village became the starting point for how tourist villages can grow not only as destinations but also as safe and resilient spaces.
So, what have you prepared for a disaster?

Restoring Hope: 500 Family Hygiene Kits for Central Tapanuli 🌊🩹

Homes once filled with memories are now marked Red Zones. Yet despite loss and uncertainty, families affected by the Central Tapanuli flash floods are taking their first steps toward recovery.

To support health and dignity, A-PAD Indonesia distributed 500 Family Hygiene Kits across affected areas:
• Tukka–Hutanabolo (280)
• Lopian (100)
• Banulomban (55)
• Hutabalang (50)
• Aek Tolang & Sorkam (15)

Our deepest gratitude to JJC Secretariat, JJC Member Companies, and IGCN for standing with these communities. These kits are more than supplies—they are a message of solidarity.

Community at the heart of our mission. 💧

Guided by the Sphere Humanitarian Standards, we place community participation at the center of our response. The construction of latrines and clean water facilities across Central Tapanuli—including Lopian Village—is carried out hand-in-hand with local residents to support ownership, dignity, and long-term sustainability.

From the community, by the community, and for the community.

Progress update: 27 out of 45 targeted locations in Central Tapanuli have been successfully completed. We continue to move forward to ensure safe and dignified sanitation access for all.

Access to clean water is more than a necessity—it is about dignity and the ability to rebuild.

Following the flash floods and landslides in Central Tapanuli since December 10, APAD Indonesia has been working alongside local partners to restore access to safe water and sanitation through sustainable, long-term solutions.

📊 INTERVENTION REPORT (Dec 17–27, 2025)
In collaboration with BRIMOB, local government, and communities, we have completed:

🏗 4 boreholes providing access to deep groundwater
⛏ 1 dug well as a practical local solution
🛠 5 well renovations restoring existing water sources
🚽 2 new toilet units supporting proper sanitation

REAL IMPACT:
So far, 2,106 people (720 families) have regained access to safe and decent water. By focusing on permanent infrastructure, these services will continue well beyond the emergency phase.

“Clean water is the foundation of health and the strength for communities to rebuild their lives.”

The needs on the ground remain high. We invite you to be part of sustaining access to clean water for affected communities.

Long before a flood arrives, preparedness must already be in motion.

This simulation in Golo Mori brought together community members and local stakeholders to rehearse evacuation routes, response roles, and coordination during flood scenarios.

By practicing together, participants strengthened trust, clarified responsibilities, and turned preparedness plans into shared action. These moments of practice are what allow communities to respond calmly and collectively when real risks emerge.
