tropical island paradise with pristine white sand beaches, the truth is that Bali's beaches are now often saturated with garbage and debris, and the majority of this trash is plastic. As of 2012, "Bali produces around 20,000 cubic meters of garbage every day, 75% of which is not collected by any service, it is simply dumped at various illegal sites."
