YKIP

History

YKIP was founded on 12 October 2002 as a response to the Bali Bombings. The senior staff of Mitrais are the members of the board of YKIP.

YKIP (Yayasan Kemanusiaan Ibu Pertiwi) or the Humanitarian Foundation for Mother Earth is dedicated to improve the lives of marginalized communities in Bali through comprehensive education opportunity The initial organisation was the Bali Recovery Group which spent the first six months after the bombing providing support to the various NGOs who came in to help with the relief operations. The perio

d between 2003 and 2004 saw YKIP focusing exclusively on helping the Bali Bomb Victims. After the victims' basic necessities were fulfilled, YKIP started to focus on health and education issues, and conducted projects that concentrated more on aiding people who were less fortunate in Bali. YKIP Office

Mitrais, an IT company with its head office in Bali, has supported YKIP ever since the latter was founded. Starting from organizing the medical assistance to Bali right after the bombing, Mitrais has provided office space, accountant support, IT, internet, and other forms of assistance. In November 2014, YKIP office had moved from Kuta to Suwung where YKIP utilized office space on the 3rd floor of Mitrais' building; the physical closeness of the two organizations makes their work easier.

Can you guess what the best part of the scholarship distribution is? For staff, the best part is when the students shared their stories in front of the class. We are happy to see their confidence and their ways of telling their stories. Some are funny, some are serious, and the other delivered their story very smoothly.

Bisakah Anda menebak bagian terbaik dari setiap kegiatan pembagian beasiswa? Bagi kami, hal yang paling menarik adalah ketika para siswa membagikan cerita mereka di depan kelas. Kami bangga melihat mereka begitu percaya diri dan membawakan cerita mereka dengan gayanya masing-masing. Ada yang membawakan ceitanya dengan lucu, ada yang begitu serius, ada juga yang bercerita dengan lancar dan terlihat tanpa beban.

The scholarship distribution in Pengotan is a little bit different compared to other areas in our KEMBALI program. In the event on April 26, we invited Mr. Krisna, a lecturer at Primakara University, to share about digital literacy with the students and their families.
The participants actively participated, and we are happy that they learned a lot that day. Hopefully, with the knowledge they gained on the day, they will be able to protect themselves during their interaction with people in the internet.

YKIP continued our scholarship distribution to Karangasem Regency, where we met 97 students and their families. During the distribution, we collected the letter from the 12th-grade students to be relayed to their sponsors.

We also had a fun game where the winners received gifts from YKIP, as you can see in picture 2.

Thank you to our donors, so that we could continue the programs and support the students in all project areas.

Kami juga mengadakan sebuah permainan sederhana. Para pemenang mendapatkan hadiah seperti pada gambar 2.

YKIP is deeply saddened by the passing of our former Operations Director, Dian Assidika, who served from 2012 to 2018. During her tenure, Dian was a shining star who brought a wealth of innovative ideas to the table, constantly striving to improve the scholarship programs and the well-being of the scholarship recipients and their families. Her dedication, compassion, and kindness inspired us all, and her legacy will continue to live on in our hearts.

You will be deeply missed, Mba Dian.
YKIP berbela sungkawa atas berpulangnya Direktur Operasional YKIP (2012-2018), Mba Dian Assiddika. Selama berkerja di YKIP, Mba Dian adalah sosok yang baik, penuh dengan ide untuk membantu penerima beasiswa dan keluarga mereka. Dedikasi, kebaikan hati, serta semangatnya akan selalu hidup di hati kami.

The scholarship distribution for Q4 of 2025-2026 has started! We began the distribution in Denpasar. Students from Sanur and Kuta come to YKIP office and get their last allowance for the current academic year.
Pembagian beasiswa untuk triwulan 4 tahun ajaran 2025-2026 telah dimulai. Kami memulai kegiatan di Denpsar dan mengundang para siswa asuh dari Sanur dan Kuta untuk mendapatkan uang saku terakhir mereka di tahun ajaran ini.
