A meaningful day at Posyandu Banjar Tung-Tung in Songan, Kintamani 💛

On 20 April, 16 mothers joined the session, a slightly smaller group this month due to the local Piodalan ceremony.

Children received essential health support including growth monitoring, vaccinations, Vitamin A, and supplementary nutritious food. Families also received toys and second-hand clothes, bringing moments of joy and care to the community 🧸

We warmly welcome donations of pre-loved items to continue supporting families in need.

Bali Hope Ultra is helping transform education across North Bali 🌱

From upgrading schools like SDN 5 Gobleg to expanding programmes in EdTech (Education Technology) EFL (English as a Foreign Language), and STEAM-H (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math and Humanities) learning, every step forward creates new opportunities for children and young people.

Support also extends beyond the classroom, opening pathways to scholarships and empowering youth through the development of the Angela Wheelton Youth Center.

This is how lasting change happens.

Here’s what Leanne shared, in her own words. 💙

"Hi, I’m Leanne.

I’m a single parent, a fulltime artist, I paint runners these days, and I’m about to run my first ultramarathon at 50. Something that once seemed impossible. 🏃‍♀️

14 years ago, doctors told me I would never run again after I received a neck and spine injury, unfortunately the result of domestic violence.

Luckily, I gave running one last try 18 months ago and it worked. I went on to run the Melbourne Marathon and now I’m attempting the Bali Hope Ultra. Both firsts.

After the long path back to running, I decided I had to overshadow this story and turn the experience into a cause for the greater good. And Bali Hope is just that. Fundraising for children in disadvantaged communities, where the dollars raised change their future. 📚✨

So I’m proud to say, I’m Leanne and I’m about to run my first ultramarathon at 50, and I’m helping others because I’m doing it."

Julie never thought she would be a runner… and definitely not an ultramarathon runner. 🏃‍♀️🌿

After starting less than a year ago, what began as something “not for me” has turned into a journey across the island through Bali Hope Ultra. Seeing the impact of this event behind the scenes changed everything, and inspired her to take on the challenge herself.

Living in Bali, this cause is close to her heart. It is a place she truly loves, and through this run, she is giving back to the community and helping create opportunities through education. 💙📚
