That is why females are constantly pressured to stay thin and are terrorized with the idea of being fat. We try to look at fatness as a positive encouraging term. For us, fat is not just a physical condition. We are interested to embrace and present “fatness” in a more conceptual manner, when we enlarge our perspective, knowledge and range of skills, we are “fattening” our minds, personalities and
frame of thinking. Plus, this way of accentuating the word “fat” leads to actions of inclusions for every types of females. We are providing a platform of various subcultures for everyone—especially females, to engage in entertaining ways to expand their social circle, knowledge, skills, and mindset. This will hopefully bring our generation to be more confident and aspirational. It is important for us to be more actively aware of issues regarding social movement, and be the positive voice for our generation in our social scope. Through many creative channels, which incorporate music, visual art, crafting, creative entrepreneurship and literature communities, we are spreading awareness about the length that females can reach in life. Using community-based and social approaches, we are spreading new perspective in an active, movement-driven ways.
• Music: We contribute specifically in electronic music because we see in our culture currently, electronic music has been generally underestimated. While it is actually a very developing and fresh genre of music that can attract our generation as the main target market, as well as expanding the social stigma towards the female in the industry; female producers and djs.
• Visual art: Visual art is a broad yet a very exclusive subject in our society. Although through the now expanding visual culture, people has become more and more aware of visual art. What we feel like we need to add to this, is the knowledge and understanding about visual art. We do this in our community activities, events, and educational activities.
• Crafting: Crafting is an activity that is closely related to females. Thus we encourage the skills of various craft and also encourage them. Through crafts, there are many possibilities in expanding it, for example it can expand into a business or art.
• Creative entrepreneurship: In the generation we live in, more youth has paved their way into business. The type of entrepreneurship that is peaking is the creative industry. Through the growing culture, the need to be creative is also heightening. We provide channels for creative entrepreneurs through our activism in communities. We also feel the need to not only support young entrepreneurs, but also to highlight things that are important and can be business chances with social activism embedded in their values.
• Literature: Knowledge is not the same as information. In this fast-paced culture that we live in, the youth generally feels that they are knowledgeable enough only knowing the surface of things. That is why it is important for us to support literature through web-zines, article submissions, and also supporting literary events.
