In simple terms, microplastics are tiny fragments that form when plastic breaks down which can happen through sunlight, washing, heat, and time. These particles are small enough to be swallowed in food or water, or even inhaled in the air.

The real goal is actually very simple:
Reduce exposure in the moments where plastic becomes unstable, especially when there is hear, friction, wear and tear, and repeated use.
