Een Molukse leider en held, strijder en voorouder in verzet 🔥 Toen bestond Indonesië niet. Maluku bestond toen al 🏝️

✊🏾Op 15 mei 1817 stond hij op tegen de Nederlandse koloniale macht
Tegen dwang, uitbuiting en het vernietigen van onze mensen, dieren, land en onze waardigheid

✊🏾Zijn strijd is geen verleden tijd

🐚Nieuwsflits Maluku

De afgelopen week kwamen verschillende ontwikkelingen op Maluku samen: zware regenval in Ambon, zorgen over landrechten op Seram en protest van Inheemse mensen op Maluku die tegen mariene conservatiebeleid van de overheid zijn omdat zonder instemming van de Inheemse Volkeren dit wordt uitgevoerd en dit als greenwashing wordt gezien.

Deze gebeurtenissen raken aan leefomgeving, bestaanszekerheid, land, zee en de positie van Inheemse Volkeren in Maluku

Binnenkort organiseren wij een informatiebijeenkomst om meer context te geven over wat er speelt op onze Tanah Air.

🐚Het was een waardige en inclusieve dodenherdenking in Rotterdam.

Vandaag herdachten we niet alleen de doden die wél in de geschiedenisboeken staan, maar ook de doden die te lang zijn verzwegen: slachtoffers van kolonialisme, onderdrukking en staatsgeweld.

Dankbaar dat ik hier mocht spreken in het kader van
75 jaar Molukkers in Nederland. Vanuit herinnering, waarheid en waardigheid 🙏🏾 op weg naar Liberation 🔥

🚨📝 In 1621, JP Coen ordered the mass killing of the population of the Banda Islands.
From around 15,000 Bandanese people, only about 1,000 survived.

On other islands in Maluku, violence, deportations, and hongi expeditions were used to enforce a spice monopoly.

This is not about erasing history.
It is about how we choose to remember it.

Place this history in a museum with context and honesty.
Not on a pedestal in public space.

🎋An oil spill has occurred in Densel Village, Bula District, Eastern Seram, following an overflow linked to PT. Karlez Petroleum Limited. Crude oil has spread across the land and nearby water sources, raising serious concerns for local communities who depend on this environment for their daily needs. Residents are calling for immediate and decisive action from both the company and local authorities to contain the spill, clean up the pollution, and prevent similar incidents in the future. Despite years of oil extraction in this area, the community says it has seen little benefit, only growing environmental and social harm.

Political Hypocrisy (2008): A hypocritical state built on double standards. Protests are labeled feudalism; corruption—from pilgrimage scandals to silent mining concessions, is ignored. A critical public is branded as “foreign agents,” while the economy begs foreigners for help. Education budgets are cut, yet problematic programs burn through one trillion per day. Ironic, isn’t it?
