Bathroom more pics: now we have warm water (a 120 liter boiler installed in the kitchen), a new window, and even a tiny shower next to the toilet for hygiene :-)

Bathroom is ready at Stork House! Thanks to all who made it possible with their contributions. Now visitors will have comfort to stay :-). I am posing "before" and "after" photos.

In our garden 3 types of pumpkin grew. This is the harvest from November 2024.

Recently there was a chariot race right in front of our house. In Vejti only 2 persons have horses but several contestants came from neighboring villages. Friends of our project also came to watch the show. Then we looked at River Drava. The water level was very high after much rain but no flood :-).

Tomatoes and paprika production. This much came out of the last harvest in September. In August we have approximately 4 times more tomatoes, big-sized as well.

A sweet moment from the summer

Our garden is producing 14😜🤩🌽🥞🍙🏀🤼🧗 types of vegetables this year starting from May: reddish, lettuce, spinach, mangold, peas, carrots, beetroots, parsley and beans. Now tomatoes started to ripen - we have 7 varieties! Later we will have pumpkin, potatoes, cabbage, capsicums. We also have herbs for spices and medicinal herbs. Finally, we are eating daily the leaves growing wild in the garden. Regarding fruits, we have several fruit trees but unfortunately the flowers got frozen in spring. However we are picking and preserving fruits from trees from the road-side that don't belong to anybody: apples, plums, mulberry

Renovation of the Forest House is nearing completion. Wherever it was possible, traditional local „folk” technologies were used. The building has got back its original look. New roof, new plastering of the walls, new chimney, rainwater drainage on both sides, and new sidewalk are completed. In the inner spaces, the layers under the floor for insulation against moisture and cold were made. All doors and windows are reconstructions of the original ones that were either lost or damaged too much to be restored. Right now we are in process of painting them.
Still to be done:
- putting down the final layer on the floor (wood in the rooms, tiles in the kitchen).
- making floor for the outside „summer” kitchen (layers and tiles)
- painting the walls outside and inside
- cleaning and repairing the backside, brick surface of the house
- making the decoration of the pillars
