Transzlációs Medicina Alapítvány

Transzlációs Medicina Alapítvány A transzlációs medicina hidat képez a klinikai és az alapkutatások között, elősegítve ezzel a gyakorlati betegellátás folyamatos fejlődését.

A Transzlációs Medicina Alapítvány célja, hogy segítse a minőségi betegellátás megvalósítását az orvostudomány számos területén. Az alapítvány részt vesz a gasztroenterológiai, kardiológiai és neurológiai kutatások finanszírozásában, valamint támogatja kutatók tudományos rendezvényeken való részvételét, közlemények megjelenését is. Közreműködünk továbbá a klinikai kutatások eredményeinek minél szélesebb körű megismertetésében, ezáltal az innovációk gyakorlati hasznosításában. Tevékenységi körünk fontos részét képezi még a betegedukáció, érdekképviselet, betegklubok működtetése.

“A lake with sharks.”

That is how entering the business side of high-risk innovation can feel to a scientist doing it for the first time.

A good research result is only the beginning.

What happens next can determine whether an idea remains a publication — or becomes an innovation that reaches patients.

In our new CTM Podcast roundtable, we discuss research, business, patents, commercialization, university support and the decisions researchers often have to make before they feel ready.

One year. New skills, new perspectives and a lot of scientific growth. 🎓🔬

Our students have reached an important milestone: the 12-Month Progress Report.

During their first year, they learned how to turn clinical and scientific questions into structured research, work with data, use new methodologies, present their findings and defend their ideas through discussion.

Along the way came challenges, questions, teamwork — and growing confidence.

In our new aftermovie, students and faculty reflect on the experience and on what it means to learn how to think and work as a scientist.

🎓 A new academic year has begun at the Centre for Translational Medicine!

At the Opening Ceremony of the 2026/2027 academic year, we welcomed our newly admitted students and started another year of learning, research, collaboration, and scientific discovery.

At CTM, our goal is to connect the bedside with science — identifying relevant clinical questions, generating new evidence, and bringing that knowledge back to patient care.

From science to society. From questions to evidence. From evidence to better healthcare.

We wish all our students a successful and inspiring academic year! 🎓🔬

🏆 “We strive to ensure that our daily practice is based on scientific evidence.”

With a history spanning 160 years, Bethesda Children’s Hospital not only provides outstanding and, in several fields, unique pediatric care in Hungary, but also closely connects scientific thinking and research with everyday clinical practice.

In recognition of its commitment to modern, evidence-based patient care, the institution received the Excellence in Modern Patient Care Prize at CTM’s opening ceremony for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Several physicians from Bethesda participate in CTM’s program as Ph.D. students, supervisors, and Scientific Methodology Supervisors. Their research addresses questions that arise directly from clinical practice and can contribute to improving care for children and their families.
