Promising new results from Innovafeed and Onda highlight the growing potential of 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 in salmon nutrition.

🧪 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐰?
Two collaborative trials evaluated Black Soldier Fly larvae meal (𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐚 𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐬) and revealed powerful functional benefits:

✨ 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬:
✔️ 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 against major pathogens like Aeromonas, Vibrio and Flavobacterium
✔️ Potential to reduce 𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 in aquaculture
✔️ 100% survival rate in salmon trials
✔️ Enhanced 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 & feed efficiency

💡 The secret?
Bioactive compounds like 𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬 naturally produced by insect larvae—unlocking both 𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 and 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 benefits.

📈 Over an 84-day trial, Atlantic salmon fed with insect meal showed:
🔹 Increased feed intake
🔹 Faster growth rates
🔹 Improved resilience under stress conditions
