Reggel első utunk a Louvre Múzeumba vezetett, ahol belépve szinte azonnal magával ragadott a hely atmoszférája és gazdagsága. Lassan átverekedtük magunkat az óriási tömegen és végre élőben láthattuk a világhírű Mona Lisa titokzatos mosolyát. Hosszasan időztünk az egyiptomi részlegen is, ahol az ókori világ misztikuma tárult elénk, a görög szobrok eleganciája és időtlen szépsége szintén mély benyomást tett ránk. Minden terem új élményt és felfedezést tartogatott számunkra, ám egy kicsit már éreztük a bőség zavarát is, hiszen itt annyi műalkotás található, amit egy idő után képtelenség befogadni.
A múzeumlátogatás után üdítő volt a szabad levegőn, még, ha szitált is az eső egy kicsit. Sétáltunk a virágzó magnólia fákkal teli Tuileriák kertjében, ahol jól esett egy kicsit megpihenni. Végül elértük a Place de la Concorde teret, ahol az obeliszk méltóságteljesen magasodik az ég felé. Ezután kívülről megcsodáltuk a pompás Palais Garnier (Operaház) épületét. A nap egyik fénypontja volt a Galeries Lafayette belső tere, ahol a kupola látványa egészen elképesztő.
Délután a bohém hangulatú Montmartre negyedbe látogattunk, ahol minden utca külön történetet mesél. Sajnos a rossz idő miatt nem volt részünk a tipikus montmartre-i hangulatban, mert az utcai festők eltűntek az eső elől. Megkerestük a híres Le Mur des Je t'aime falat is, aminek a fele sajnos éppen felújítás alatt volt és emiatt le volt zárva. Ebédre egy vegetáriánus éttermet választottunk, ahol minden fogás meglepően finom és laktató volt.
Ezután felmentünk a Sacré-Cœur-bazilika dombjára, ahol kívülről és belülről is megcsodáltuk ezt a különleges épületet és méltó lezárása volt a napnak. Hazafelé még bevásároltunk, majd összepakoltunk a másnapi indulásra. Estére szendvicseket készítettünk, hogy hajnalban már minden készen álljon az útra. Korán kelünk, hiszen irány Barcelona, új kalandokkal a láthatáron. Párizsi felfedezésünk ezzel véget ért, de az emlékek sokáig velünk maradnak. ❣️

"Belekóstoltunk a párizsi konyhába is különféle macaronokkal, péksüteményekkel és persze a bagettek sem maradhattak ki. Mondhatom, hogy mindannyiunknak nagyon ízlettek!"

Our first stop in the morning was the Louvre Museum, where, upon entering, we were almost immediately captivated by the atmosphere and richness of the place. We slowly fought our way through the massive crowd and finally got to see the world-famous Mona Lisa’s mysterious smile in person. We also spent a long time in the Egyptian section, where the mystique of the ancient world unfolded before us, and the elegance and timeless beauty of the Greek sculptures left a deep impression on us as well. Every room offered new experiences and discoveries, though we also began to feel slightly overwhelmed by the abundance, as there are simply so many works of art here that after a while it becomes impossible to fully take them all in.
After the museum visit, it was refreshing to be out in the open air, even though it was lightly drizzling. We walked through the Tuileries Garden, filled with blooming magnolia trees, where it felt good to take a short rest. Eventually, we reached Place de la Concorde, where the obelisk rises majestically toward the sky. After that, we admired the magnificent Palais Garnier (Opera House) from the outside. One of the highlights of the day was the interior of Galeries Lafayette, where the view of the dome is truly breathtaking.
In the afternoon, we visited the bohemian district of Montmartre, where every street seems to tell its own story. Unfortunately, due to the bad weather, we couldn’t fully experience the typical Montmartre atmosphere, as the street artists had disappeared to escape the rain. We also found the famous “I Love You Wall,” though sadly half of it was under renovation and therefore closed off. For lunch, we chose a vegetarian restaurant, where every dish was surprisingly delicious and filling.
After that, we climbed up to the hill of the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, which we admired both from the outside and inside, providing a fitting end to the day. On our way home, we did some shopping and then packed for the next day’s departure. In the evening, we prepared sandwiches so that everything would be ready for our early morning start. We’ll be waking up early, as we’re heading to Barcelona, with new adventures on the horizon. Our Paris exploration has come to an end, but the memories will stay with us for a long time.❣️
