Join the EU-GIFT Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) in Bordeaux, France, and discover how food quality, safety and sustainability are shaping the future of agri-food systems. 🍴🌱🔬

The programme is designed for students interested in food, agriculture, sustainability and related fields, offering a unique combination of academic learning, international collaboration and hands-on experience. 🤝

During the week, participants will explore how food business operators address challenges across the food chain — from quality and food safety to environmental and social responsibility. 🌾

The programme includes:
- Short lectures on food quality and CSR standards
-A 1.5–2-day study trip to discover typical Southwestern French products with geographical indications
- A student team project exploring how geographical indications can contribute to more sustainable agri-food systems

🔬🍄 How did mushrooms live? Why did our hands get warm when we rubbed them together? And where did tomatoes and cucumbers come from? 🍅🥒

These were just some of the fascinating questions explored by young participants during KINDERUNI 2026 at Hochschule Geisenheim University. 🎓✨

Designed for children in grades 3 to 6, the programme offered an exciting and hands-on introduction to science, technology, food and plants through interactive lectures, experiments and practical activities. 🧪🌱🔍

Across eight events throughout the year, the young researchers had the opportunity to discover different scientific topics, ask questions, experiment and experience university-level research in an engaging and age-appropriate way. 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬💡🌍
