We also explored studies on smart wearable devices and their user manuals, shedding light on the quality and efficiency of these materials.

Combining theory with hands-on exercises, participants learned how to use visuals effectively to support their communication goals.
October: Look Who's Talking – and Most Importantly, How! by Gertrúd Király – We had an interactive communication workshop to sharpen our workplace interaction skills, focusing on understanding colleagues better, being clearer in our messaging, and decoding body language. Fun exercises and practical tips helped attendees improve their listening skills and communication in the workplace.
November: Stranded on the Moon – A Writing Challenge by András Juhász – This unique event put our writing and teamwork skills to the test. The challenge? Help an astronaut stranded on the moon by reassembling and fixing broken text under tight time constraints. It was a fun and engaging way to hone our problem-solving and collaboration abilities.
December: News and Trends in Software Documentation – This virtual information session was hosted by tekom country organizations from Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungary. It showcased how technical documentation is adapting to modern challenges, and technical writers from across Europe gathered to explore these latest industry developments. Four presentations offered insights into evolving practices, with a focus on AI and sustainability.
Year-end tekom Gathering – We closed the year with a fun and festive evening just before Christmas, organized by our Initiative Committee. We used this event to reflect on all of our events and activities from 2024 and also to brainstorm ideas for 2025. It was a great opportunity to connect with the community, share feedback, and get inspired for the year ahead.
