🌍 ELTE Model United Nations 2026 🇺🇳
ELTE IR Society, in collaboration with the ELTE Charity Club, was proud to organize our Second ELTE Model United Nations, bringing together students for two days of engaging debate, diplomacy, and international cooperation.
Over the course of the simulation, participants represented their assigned countries while addressing the topic “The Iran–Israel Conflict and Its Implications for Peace and Stability in the Middle East.” The conference began with the United Nations General Assembly, where delegates represented the broader international community and worked collaboratively to debate the issue and propose solutions. On the second day, the discussions continued in the United Nations Security Council, where delegates engaged in high-level negotiations on the crisis from the perspective of the Council’s members.
Throughout the conference, our members demonstrated exceptional public speaking, negotiation, research, and critical thinking skills while experiencing the realities of multilateral diplomacy firsthand. The simulation provided students with a practical understanding of how international institutions operate and how diplomacy is used to address some of the world’s most complex challenges.
We are proud to create opportunities that allow our members to move beyond the classroom and gain hands-on experience in diplomacy, international negotiations, and global affairs through initiatives such as Model United Nations.
