There's a moment in the footage where the Canadian, EU, and Hungarian flags are just standing there behind the podium, waiting for the room to fill up. A few minutes later it did — defence industry leaders, policymakers, and partners from both sides of the Atlantic, all in the same space at the Bálna for two days in May.

Over those two days, the conversations covered the full scope of what transatlantic defence cooperation actually requires: the industrial and strategic implications of the EU SAFE framework, defence manufacturing capacity, supply chain resilience, and where Canadian and European companies can build real partnerships rather than one-off deals. The exhibition floor backed it up - unmanned systems, space- and defence technologies, and the kind of hardware that makes those conversations concrete instead of theoretical.

The 13th Canadian BBQ Dinner Takes Place Tomorrow

Bison & Salmon Night arrives tomorrow evening, bringing together from Hungary's business, diplomatic, and government communities.

This year's program opens with a fireside chat between CCCH President Nicholas Sarvari and Áron Timár, creator of the documentary "The Price of a Vote" — the film that exposed rural vote-buying in Hungary and inspired thousands of citizens to serve as election observers during the April parliamentary election. The discussion will explore what the film revealed about the country's political landscape, and the role bilateral business organizations and the private sector can play in supporting civil society.

What follows is the main event: bison and salmon, Canadian flavours meeting Hungarian hospitality, DJ music, and raffle prizes in an outdoor setting.

What a wonderful morning on the Danube!
Yesterday, together with GoodWill Consulting Group, had the pleasure of welcoming guests aboard the historic Kisfaludy Paddle Steamer for our Business Breakfast Cruise.

Over two hours of networking on one of Budapest’s most iconic vessels, participants had the opportunity to make valuable new connections, exchange ideas, and learn more about the companies of the GoodWill Group and the diverse services they provide.

We were delighted to hear inspiring introductions from Goodwill Consulting & Goodwill Energy ,Goodroid , Good Times – Event & Marketing, and Harsányi Pincészet & Dűlő Bisztró.
