Congratulates Regional Ambassador Sheikh Farooq on Academic Cooperation Initiative
The Foundation for United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (FFUN SDG), a partner of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs – Sustainable Development (UN DESA), is pleased to highlight the recent activities of its Regional Ambassador for Central Asia and the Far East, Mr Sheikh Farooq.
On 26 July 2026, Sheikh Farooq met with Professor Shukhrat Djumaevich Teshaev, Rector of Bukhara State Medical Institute, to discuss the possibility of establishing a branch campus in Kashmir, India. The meeting reflects an important academic initiative aimed at strengthening educational cooperation between Uzbekistan and India.
While this initiative is being developed directly by the institutions involved, FFUN SDG welcomes every effort that promotes international dialogue, quality education, and cooperation among nations, values that are fully aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
We congratulate Sheikh Farooq on his continued commitment to fostering international academic partnerships and wish all the participating institutions every success in developing this promising project.
