A Reminder to Advocates of Summer Sessions 2019 -

Be sure to enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) with the US State Department in order to receive alerts and information from the American Embassy while in country, help the embassy contact you in case of an emergency, help family and friends get in touch with you. Today's kreyol word to know is dezidrate! The best translation for this word is dehydrated. New advocates, when doing intake on a patient or offering public health education, remember to ask individuals if they are drinking enough water as sometimes patients are experiencing the symptoms of dehydration and don’t even know it.

Try using sek in a sentence!

“Eske ou dezidrate?” - Are you dehydrated?
“Dr. Tony, mwen dezidrate!” - Dr. Tony, I’m dehydrated!
