YWAM Saint Marc, Haiti

YWAM Saint Marc, Haiti We believe that God has called this nation to be a blessing, and as part of that movement we work in discipleship, mercy ministry and evangelism.

YWAM is a global movement of young missionaries who seek to know God and make Him known. Since 1986 our YWAM team in Haiti has pursued love in action through Mercy Ministry, Evangelism, and Training. As years progress, ministries and the staff body evolve to God's calling, as we seek to hear Him first. Please visit our website www.ywamstmarchaiti.org for more info on what, and how, we minister to Haiti as a nation.

Here is a look at what we have been up to!
-Our students are working so hard and practicing their skills.
-in kids church we had a fun event where the children danced, sang, shared drawings they made, answered bible trivia, played games and memorized verses
-we have our weekly trash pick up in the city on Friday
-there is a spot in the city where some people wanted to play soccer but a big tree was in the way. We went in with our equipment to remove it for them and now there is another place to play and watch soccer.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers! This week coming up is our annual sports and arts camp. We will be posting about that daily as well!

-The students received their exam results.
-The culinary arts class had a zoom teaching with a teacher from the US
- All of the classes are working so hard and practicing what they have learned
- Marc Georges has been preaching on leadership the past couple weeks in church but this week he felt he was supposed to talk about forgiveness and it was SO powerful
- On Friday we went out to clean up trash in the city

🙏🇭🇹❤️ there can always be positive change if you decide to be it.

Our annual fundraising banquet is coming up! We would love to see you on September 10th at 6pm at Shady Maple in East Earl, PA. This banquet helps us to cover our end of the year ministries, the daily upkeep of our campus, as well as special projects we have going on. The theme this year is “Growing in the Valley” because, while we are very much so still in the valley, we have seen so much growth in all the ministry we are a part of. We are still here, on the ground in Haiti every day, praying and believing that freedom and positive change is coming (and has already started happening). We appreciate your support so much. It keeps us encouraged to keep pressing on and to give our all, so the Haitian people might know God and grow in their own faith. We are going to share so many exciting things that have happened this year and enjoy an amazing meal together. We hope to see you there! 🙏❤️🇭🇹

Last week we went out again to do garbage pick up in the city. Our dump truck isn’t big enough for the amount of trash we need to haul to the dump so our staff took a trailer we had on base already and built up on top of it with wood so now we have another vehicle to haul garbage. It’s a lot of work, but so worth it when we see people so happy and our city clean. Less garbage in the streets makes the roads wider with less traffic jams and also keeps people healthy.

This week we have exams for every class in the school. 😅 please pray for our students as they take exams and wait for their results! ❤️🙏🇭🇹

On Friday’s we go out to serve the community. This week we picked up trash that was taking up much of the road. Our dream is to bring a trash truck into Haiti so we can reach more areas and make our city cleaner. Pray with us for this vision to come to life! 🇭🇹🙏

Our staff and a few volunteers from the community were able to finish the bridge today! There was a large pile of dirt blocking the way for people to pass so we were able to get rid of that as well as put in a solar light over the bridge for safety at night. We pray this blesses this community and makes life a bit easier for people. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement for this project! ❤️🙏🇭🇹

A large bridge in the city collapsed and it has made travel in the area difficult. People have to climb down the ladder you see in the first picture and then climb up another ladder on the other side in order to cross the street. We went out there to check it out and saw that school children have to do this everyday as well. The bottom is full of water and garbage and it just isn’t safe. Fixing the entire bridge is a huge undertaking that would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars so we decided to do what we can with what we have. We are out there today building a footbridge for people to use until the full bridge can be re-built. Pray for our staff who have been out there the past 3 days making this happen. 🙏🇭🇹❤️
