In response to a recent piece covering , we would like to share a transformational patient story from the FMC clinic.

A patient arrived at FMC needing a large tumor removed from their jaw. This is one of many successful complex surgeries the FMC team performs for the people of Haiti.

FMC treats 100–200 patients every day, providing preventative care, dental services, surgeries, and training the next generation through university programs.

La FONDATION MAX CADET d'Haïti rappelle combien demeure dangereuse, cette pratique courante en Haïti.

Deux à trois fois par mois, suite aux accidents de la route, les soignants de la Clinique dentaire du Canapé-Vert à Port-au-Prince, reçoivent en chirurgie maxillo-faciale réparatrice, des adultes et des enfants avec des multi-fractures aux deux mâchoires.

Même dans la situation socio-politique que connaît le pays, la PREVENTION des RISQUES constitue le moyen le plus efficace pour éduquer les enfants au respect de leur vie - et la PROTECTION des CORPS par les adultes responsables, la condition première pour sauver des vies.

In Haiti, many young men make a living by transporting the old, the young, and the sick to their destination on a motorcycle, which has led to an alarming number of accidents. Daily, bikers and passengers not wearing full-face covering helmets come to our clinic with severe physical trauma, jaw fractures, and permanent dental injuries.

📢 Help Fund 4 Critical Maxillofacial Surgeries in Haiti

For the past three years, the Fondation Max Cadet (FMC) has been providing essential dental and surgical care in Haiti. Our collaboration with Dr. Jean Gilles and his maxillofacial surgery team has already led to 11 successful surgeries, offering patients relief from painful and invasive tumors. But the demand continues to grow.

This year, four more patients urgently need maxillofacial surgery, each costing $5,000. These patients cannot afford the care they desperately need, but together, we can make it possible.

Before and After: This year, a patient came to our facility with an enlarged tumor in their right cheek. Our team of surgeons and tested samples from the tumor and proceeded to remove it successfully!

The dental clinic of Fondation Max Cadet prides itself in providing sponsored preventive care to children.

However, on any given day, the clinic welcomes young people in need of emergency care due to trauma as well as more complex care to remove invasive .

Mouth injuries are quite common with Haitian children. They may occur as a result of a fall that can cause soft tissue damage to the tongue, cheeks, lips, and gums as well as chip, break, and loosen teeth.

The more serious injuries occur to the tonsil, soft palate, or back of the throat.
