In Loving Memory of Lisa Cosimano Gallagher 🕊️✨
It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of a cherished member of our Fleur De Vie family, Board Member Lisa Cosimano Gallagher.
Lisa’s connection to our mission ran incredibly deep.
As the COO of Hawtan Leather, she and her family have been unwavering supporters of Fleur De Vie for over a decade, beginning in 2013. With their family’s leather tanning company operating in Carrefour for 25 years, Haiti was woven into the very fabric of Lisa’s life and history.
Her dedication was a family affair—we will always fondly remember her son and daughter-in-law joining us hands-on for our Back to School event back in 2014.
Lisa was a spitfire of a force. Behind closed doors, she was always the one to ask: “What do we need, and how can we get there sooner?” She was an active champion for our work, constantly sharing our journey on her own timeline and offering brilliant, urgent ideas on how to reach our goals. Ironically, in our very last conversation with her, she was quick to reply with absolute joy and pride at how far we were getting.
Looking at her picture brings us profound sadness, but also immense gratitude. Lisa was always, always there for us.
We send our deepest love, prayers, and condolences to the Gallagher and Cosimano families.
Lisa, your fire, your passion, and your legacy will remain in every classroom we build and every child we serve. You are deeply missed.
