Dear Father God,

You are a merciful God, and I give you my praise and thanks.

As I go through my days, I see many acts of kindness and love around me, such as a mother smiling as she looks at the baby in her arms or someone taking the time to help and encourage a struggling person.

In these moments I am reminded of Your goodness to us all.

But I am also a witness to injustice in my life and the injustice that fills the world.

I pray now as Jesus taught us...

Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:10

This is my prayer for my family, for my friends, for my community and for the world.

Lord, we need more of You and Your Kingdom to come today.

And, I look forward to the day when...
..God will wipe away every tear from their eyes;
there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.
There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Revelation 21:4

But until that day comes, please send Your Holy Spirit to bring comfort, justice, hope, grace, mercy and love into this world through me and the people of Your Kingdom.

Dear Lord God,

Today is a fresh new start from You.

Thank You for Your unending mercy and new beginnings...

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,
he is a new creation;
old things have passed away;
behold, all things have become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17

Lord I need Your help to keep my focus on You and on others today.

The time you give me is so precious, yet I find myself looking through my phone, consumed with social media, with TV and many other diversions that pull me away from time that could be spent with You and with others.

I pray that I will live more intentionally with You and for You today.

I want to prioritize time with a friend, or eating dinner with my family instead of meaningless distractions.

You created me to live in community and I want to start investing more deeply in my family, my friends, my church and my community.

Thank You for all that You have blessed me with.

I want to be a better steward of the time that you have given to me today.

In the mighty name of Jesus I pray,

Dear Lord Jesus,

There are challenging relationships and conflicts that many are struggling with.

Please forgive us.

We have let some of these issues grow into resentment and bitterness and our hearts have become hard in these areas.

Please forgive us.

We look to you, our Lord Jesus, how you gave your life on the cross for us sinners...

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8

Thank you Lord Jesus, for your ultimate and perfect sacrifice.

Please forgive us for our unwillingness to forgive others...

We ask that you would soften our hearts towards those who have wronged us.

We desire to live as you lived, fully led by your Holy Spirit.

Let us live as instructed in your Word...

Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger,
brawling and slander,
along with every form of malice.
Be kind and compassionate to one another,
forgiving each other,
just as in Christ God forgave you.
Ephesians 4:31-32

Lord, we want to be like you.

Please help us to live by Your Word and to follow Your example.

Dear Lord God,

Thank You for Your gift of Christian covenant marriage, as Jesus taught...

"But from the beginning of the creation,
God ‘made them male and female.’
‘For this reason a man shall leave
his father and mother
and be joined to his wife,
and the two shall become one flesh’;
so then they are no longer two, but one flesh.
Therefore what God has joined together,
let not man separate.”
Mark 10:6-9

I pray for all of the marriages around me, that they will put You first, above all else.

That they will be an example to others of the love Christ has for His Church, which is the Bride of Christ for all eternity, as the angel explained to John...

“Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.”
Revelation 21:9

Please help husbands to love their wives.

Please help wives to love their husbands.

May they lift each other up by Your Word and truth that they may flourish into the Christian couples You intended them to be.

Lord, I also pray for broken marriages, and ones struggling to hang on, that You would bring protection, healing, reconciliation and restoration to each one.

And, thank You for rescuing, loving and saving sinners and those who fail, like me.

I pray this in the all-powerful name of Jesus,

Thank You for this beautiful new day...

This is the day the LORD has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it.

I come to You and humbly ask that You will create in me a clean heart, and please forgive me for my sins...

Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
Psalm 51:10-12

I ask for a clean heart and a steadfast spirit.

Please breathe new life into my weary soul and replenish me...

For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.
Jeremiah 31:25

I want to experience the fullness of joy that Your salvation brings...

You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Psalms 16:11

May You be glorified in my life throughout this day.

Let my life be a testimony to others, that they may see Your mercy and be drawn to You.

Dear Father God,

Thank You for all the children of the world, each one created by You as King David declared...

For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
Psalms 139:13

Each child is a precious gift from You, and each child is highly valued by You...

But Jesus called (the children) to Him and said,
“Let the little children come to Me,
and do not forbid them;
for of such is the kingdom of God."
Luke 18:16

I pray that each child will receive from You blessings, protection, guidance, good health, loving homes and positive role models.

Please place Your Holy Spirit with these children so that they may come to know You at a young age.

And, for the children in need of shelter, food and basic necessities, I pray that You would use me and Your people to give what we can.

Please move in my heart Lord, so that I will be a positive role model to the children in my life.

Please help Your people to raise up generations of children and grandchildren that will bring praise and glory to You.

Please watch over each child, and meet their every need in the ways You know best.

Thank You for covering me with Your love and grace...

The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly,
along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

Please open my eyes that I may see and always be mindful of what I may be holding back from You.

I know that there are parts of my life that I do not let You into and areas in which I do not want to give up control.

Please transform me and renew my mind so that I can know You and Your will for me...

And do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:2

Lord, I surrender all to You.

I want You to be at the center of my life and I do not want to shut You out of the places where I am ashamed or afraid.

Holy Spirit, please wash over me and help me to break free and to experience total freedom in You.

Dear Father God,

Please let me fully experience Your love and share Your love with others...

Beloved, let us love one another,

I want to know You more, much more than I do.
You are the awesome God, as the Prophet Daniel prayed...

And I prayed to the Lord my God,
and made confession, and said,
“O Lord, great and awesome God,
who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him,
and with those who keep His commandments...
Daniel 9:4

I ask for Your Holy Spirit to lead me so that I will take time each day to sit before You in quiet.

I desire to read my Bible, Your Holy Word, in order to know You more intimately.

I long to develop an ear to hear Your voice and to commune with You in prayer.

Lord, I come to You for all things.

Please place within my heart a deep desire to know You, to grow closer to You and to present Your Love to every person I meet.

I trust You to guide and bless me today.

Dear Lord God,

I thank you for Your beautiful creation of everything in the world around me...

In the beginning
God created the heavens
and the earth.
Genesis 1:1

Thank you for creating all girls and boys and women and men in Your Image...

So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
Genesis 1:27

My Lord Jesus, I pray that you will send your blessing of peace to every boy and girl, every man and woman, and to our entire world, as you promised...

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you;
not as the world gives do I give to you.
Let not your heart be troubled,
neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27

Thank You that the earth will one day be renewed by You...

Nevertheless we, according to His promise,
look for new heavens and a new earth
in which righteousness dwells.
2 Peter 3:13

I pray for my family and for the generations to come, that you will help us to be good stewards of your creation, to see Your Kingdom come here on Earth as it is in Heaven. Matthew 6:10

Please guide our leaders and those who are making decisions, giving each one the desire to spread Your blessings and peace; and the wisdom to handle the resources which you have so lovingly provided.

I pray that I will be a good steward of your beautiful creation in this world, which You have provided for me and for all of the peoples of the earth.

Dear Father God,

There is nothing better than being known and loved by You...

O Lord , You have searched me and known me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
Psalm 139:1-2

I praise You and thank You for always being with me and for the promise of Jesus that He will never leave me nor forsake me. Hebrews 13:5

Thank You for all of the special people You have placed in my life to surround me with support and encouragement.

Thank You for creating me to live out my life in community with You and with others.

I pray now for those who are struggling to find close friends and community.

Please send the right people along who can offer encouragement, friendship, loving guidance, unconditional love, and to be available when needed.

And I thank you for my local church, and for all churches where your people gather each week to love you and to love others, to bless you and to bless others, and to exhort each other in our Christian faith and lives...

And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together,
as is the manner of some,
but exhorting one another,
and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Hebrews 10:24-25

Please help me to honor the special people You have placed around me, and help me to show them Your love and their importance to You and to me.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come to you today with many things on my heart and on my mind...

Search me, God, and know my heart;

You have promised that Your grace is sufficient for me...

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

In my times of need, please remind me that You are the one who supplies all my needs and who gives all things generously...

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19

I want to experience your joy throughout this day...

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
Psalm 51:12

Thank You for generously pouring Your grace and joy upon me.

Please help me to never forget that I am blessed by You so that I may be a blessing to others.

Dear Father in Heaven,

I know that You sent Jesus into the world so that I could have eternal life with You.

As Jesus explained...

For God so loved the world
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him
should not perish but have everlasting life.
- John 3:16

I praise You for sending Your one and only Son to redeem me and not to condemn me...

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
- John 3:17

I praise Jesus for loving me, for not condemning me and for bearing my sins upon the cross.

Your Word tells me how Jesus has sent me into the world, just as You sent Him, to tell my friends and family what great things You have done for me.

May I have the boldness, the wisdom, the desire, and the eyes to recognize my opportunities for telling others about Your love, my God and my Savior.

Let me be Your bold witness today.
