☀️VBS Day 5 ☀️
Yesterday was our 5th and final day of VBS at The CAMP, and our hearts are full.

All week long, the kids have been learning through our theme, “Building Our Faith Through God’s Word” and for our last day we talked about the importance of sharing what Jesus has done in our lives. Our faith is not meant to be hidden, it’s meant to be shared! All week long we’ve learned about how God’s words create, guide, heal, encourage, and He sends us out to share His love with others. It was a celebration of everything God has been building in our hearts as we sang, ate cupcakes, played games and built bottle rocket cars together! We also had the joy of giving each child a backpack filled with school supplies like notebooks, pencils, pens, a geometry set and some toiletries as they prepare for the year ahead. It was a special way to end the week and remind them that they are loved, seen, and supported.

We are so thankful for every child who came, each one of our staff who served, and every person who generously gave to make this week possible. Our prayer is that the seeds planted this week will continue to grow beyond what we can even imagine ✨

☀️ VBS Day 4 ☀️
This morning was all about learning how to build each other up! We looked at the story of Moses and Joshua—two incredible leaders who used their words to encourage one another! Our tool of the day was a hammer. Just like our words, when used correctly it can fix and build, but when used incorrectly it can also break things and cause damage. The dust was flying under our feet as we sang and danced together. We played a rowdy game of Hot Potato and made optical illusion spinners….though the kids left with more glitter on their faces than the craft! We finished off by adding the roof to our “house” with encouragement notes for our friends ♥️

☀️ VBS Day 3 ☀️
This morning was a beautiful reminder that Jesus speaks life. The kids learned the story of Lazarus, when Jesus called his friend out of the tomb and brought him back to life. What felt broken, sad and impossible was not too hard for Jesus. With His words, Jesus brought hope, healing and life. Our tool of the day—a screwdriver—reminded us that a good builder repairs what is broken. After snack time, things got pretty silly with a relay race to see who could wrap their Lazarus in toilet paper the best! We have been working on our “house” each day too—today the walls went up and the kids wrote something they would like Jesus to bring life. So thankful for another sweet day with these amazing kids!

☀️VBS Day 2 ☀️
Our core memory verse for this week is Ephesians 4:29 “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

The kids learned about Samuel hearing from God in 1 Samuel 3. Our tool of the day was walkie talkies—reminding us that God speaks and we need to listen. A good builder listens to instructions before building, and we want to build our lives on God’s word. We had tons of fun playing a construction version of “Simon Says” making our own play dough and laughing together over a balloon relay race!

☀️ VBS Day 1 ☀️
Our theme for this year’s Vacation Bible School is “Building Our Faith On God’s Word”. Today we learned how God spoke all of Creation into being, the power behind His words and how we can find His plan for our lives in the truth of the Bible! Much like the measuring tape we took out of our toolbox as the reminder for the day—the best builders always have a plan! Singing, snacks and getting creative with a rocket launcher craft kicked off the start of a wonderful week learning & growing together.
