Tuesday Godly Women Class
The Godly woman class recently enjoyed making a cake. In our area, cakes finish off a special meal like after weddings and graduations. Often the piece of cake is wrapped in a napkin and intended to be taken home. It can be frosted or not, and is heavy and moist, more like an American pound cake. It is often flavored with both dark and light vanilla.

Young Leaders Retreat and Ocean Trip

The Young Leaders for God class had their annual Saturday retreat at HAFF studying the good and bad kings of the Old Testament. After a break of several years, this year we were again able to send them to the beach followed by an elegant restaurant meal of fish. Most have never been to the beach or eaten in a restaurant. While this is a treasured memory, past students have often been more thankful for the spiritual growth they made during the 8 months of class.

Dear friends,
I’m reaching out with a special and time-sensitive need.

A Haitian pastoral intern who graduated from HAFF and is a seminary student hoping to return to Haiti is facing an urgent transportation challenge. He relies on doing DoorDash to provide for his wife and child, and without a reliable car, he can’t continue that work.

Ideally, we’re hoping someone might be willing to donate a vehicle or make one available at a very low cost. As an immediate, short-term solution, even a loaner car would be a huge help while we work toward something more permanent.

The Godly Woman class studies “The Proverbs 31 Woman” as the basis for their Christian homemaking corse. Today they are reviewing verses 10-30 of that Proverb. They are also finishing colorful, large canvas shopping bags and making peanut butter cookies.

Yesterday (February 2, 2026) was a miserable day in the low 60's! No sun, with a bit of mist and a small breeze. Most students don't have sweatshirts like these two. One student went home to get a blanket. but many people have no blankets, especially refugees who lost everything . Last night it was 58! No sun soon means no solar power, no internet and no water without using our gas generators. Please pray for all to lean on God's provision during these cold and hungry days, without enough precipitation to fill our wells. Please pray for HAFF to share the true Bread and Living Water of Christ.

The second trimester has started at IPB this Monday for many happy students. Please pray for good health and concentration and spiritual growth for our students, rain for our animals, and suppression of the gangs and their activities for everyone!
