We hit the initial matching gift goal - and together we’ve raised over $80,000 for mothers and babies in Haiti!🙌🏾

But we still need $20,000 by May 31 to reach our total goal - and women are arriving at MamaBaby Haiti every single day with nowhere else to turn.

Here’s what your gift does right now:
💛$75 → prenatal checkups, supplements & monitoring
💛$450 → complete care for one mother & baby

I’ll never forget the night Judith* walked into our birth center.

She was pregnant, severely undernourished, and about to give birth. Her husband waited outside while their other children were back home.

Her baby was born full-term, weighing under 4 pounds.

Later that night, I asked Judith if she had eaten. She quietly said no. So I gave her my dinner. She ate every bite.

Afterward, I sat outside in the heat and cried—not just for Judith, but for every mother carrying unimaginable burdens with strength and dignity.

Across Haiti, families are persevering through a lack of resources and ongoing violence while fighting to care for their children.

Now through May 31, every dollar you give is MATCHED up to $25,000!

No mother should give birth hungry, afraid, or alone.

She has just done the hardest work of her life.

And there, in the quiet that follows, they find each other.

A mother’s hand, steady and protective.

Birth is powerful, but this moment is tender. The noise fades. The room softens. And it becomes just two hearts learning the rhythm of one another.
This is the beginning of a bond that will carry them through every tomorrow.✨

Meet Nadia, a young Haitian woman whose story appears in our newest Impact Report.

Nadia gives birth to a baby boy.

And then she begins to bleed. And bleed. And bleed.

The midwives work in sync. Every medication. Every step. Every skill they were trained in. And still… the bleeding does not stop.

There is no hospital to send her to. The roads are nearly impossible. The hospitals that once existed have been taken over by gangs. To reach care, she would have to travel hours across a river, across a lake by canoe, then by motorcycle, then by car.

She would not survive the journey. MamaBaby is the end of the line.

The midwives know: if they do not stop the bleeding… she will die.
“I felt like I was dying.”
For a moment, the midwives thought she might.

And then, finally, the bleeding stops. All the things they did worked.

She lies there, weak, nursing her newborn baby, waiting for the strength to stand again.

She is 16 years old. Her mother died when she was seven. She lives with her grandmother, who is blind. She has no money. The baby’s father does not call. Food is uncertain. Work is out of reach.

Things are hard. And still — she smiles. 🤍

This is why MamaBaby Haiti exists. This is what your support makes possible!
