Last week, our team joined ICDO in Vienna during their "The Long Nights of Interculturality 2026" event🌍

While ICDO delivered a full week of intercultural events across the city, we had the opportunity to see what it takes to bring an event of this nature to life with more than hundreds of performers and even more guests👥. We followed their team behind the scenes and learned about coordination, logistics, communication, teamwork and the many decisions that happen throughout the process. We were also able to support the team during the implementation with the hands-on learning.

A big thank you to the ICDO team for hosting us, sharing their experience and putting together such an ambitious celebration of interculturality!✨

Our visit was part of an Erasmus+ job-shadowing activity, co-funded by the European Union. 🇪🇺

A love letter to OAZA that could not have been written with more heart. That is what our ESC volunteers Chiara and Timea have been to us🤍.

Over the past year, they gave so much more than their roles ever asked of them. They stepped up when things got difficult, took initiative when it mattered, and brought care, responsibility and commitment to everything from international activities to the everyday life of our organisation and community. 🌱 It has been a joy to witness their growth and impact, and even bigger one to have them alongside us every day.

Earlier this week, their ESC service with us came to an end. We are so proud of you, deeply grateful for you, and very excited for wherever life takes you next✨.

European Solidarity Corps are not just volonteering, but a journey of learning on multiple levels. 🪷

This is Chiara’s testimony. She recently completed her eight-month period of volunteering. This is what she will take home with her, but it is just one example of what you yourself might take home. 🏡

ESC is an individual process of personal growth, so the same tasks can lead to completely different outcomes. It depends on where you start from and where you want to end up or where you find yourself wanting to go in order to get to know yourself better.🔍✨

To find out, all you need to do is apply and start a project yourself to find out what it will bring you.🌱
