🗓️ Three days, not one.
The LP-GP Networking Event 2026 is five weeks away, and the conference day is only the middle of it.

🥂 Wednesday 30 September — welcome drinks on the Excelsior terrace at 18:00, then a networking dinner at Banje Beach.
🏛️ Thursday 1 October — two closed breakfasts at 08:00 under the Chatham House Rule, one for institutional LPs and one for family offices. Then 09:00 to 16:00 in a single room, no breakout tracks: development finance institutions and the regulator open the day, four emerging fund managers present on the main stage at midday, and the LP panel closes it. Curated LP-GP meetings run throughout, matched on mandate.
🌿 Friday 2 October — the Konavle excursion. A guided nature walk, Croatian customs and heritage, networking drinks and a traditional lunch, with organised airport transfers.

🎙️ Twenty-seven speakers. One conference day. The full line-up for the LP-GP Networking Event 2026 is now published.

📅 30 September – 2 October 2026
📍 Hotel Excelsior, Dubrovnik 🇭🇷

The conference day on 1 October opens with the institutions that finance European private capital — HBOR, the European Investment Bank, the World Bank Group and HANFA, back to back in the first half-hour.

Then the keynotes: AI and European competitiveness, venture through the cycle, climate tech as a resilience strategy, value creation and exits, what the data says about private markets, and communications as a value lever.

At midday, four emerging fund managers present for fifteen minutes each — on the main stage, in front of fifty LPs who have not left the room.

The afternoon runs from a study of performance persistence, through three single family offices describing how they actually select managers, straight into the LP panel.

Around it: two closed-door breakfasts under the Chatham House Rule, pre-arranged 1:1 meetings, hosted roundtables and the dinners.

From Monday 17 August we introduce the speakers one at a time, in programme order, for six weeks.

Fifteen minutes, and very little padding:

💧 There is really no liquidity. People can talk about whatever returns they want — DPI is not telling the story investors want to hear.
🇪🇺 Europe is harder than the US: a fragmented market, information asymmetry, capital efficiency — and an industry that runs on relationships. You need to build trust.
📊 Investors focus on track record, but managers fundraise mid-cycle, and intermediate track record tells you nothing about final performance.
🚀 Emerging fund managers definitely stand a chance — what has to be shown is the process, a system that delivers returns.
🔑 The interesting opportunities are always oversubscribed. It is all a little bit about the privileged access to capital.
💡 And venture capital has been unfairly penalised, given it sits behind most of the AI story.

European in character, with a deliberate minority joining from the United States, the Middle East and Asia.
