Our mission is saving the lives of dogs (greyhound,podenco, lurcher or/and galgo) which were used for racing, hunting and many other things. After getting injured or when they don’t get good results anymore, the owners are getting rid of them. Ways to do that differ from hanging, drowning or tying to railroad tracks, leaving them on deponies (yes, you’ve read it right, DEPONIES) for dogs to killin
g with electroshocks, beating to death etc. The least used way is putting them to sleep, which, according to all, is the most humane. Dogs that, unfortunately, find themselves in this situations are not only the ones with injuries but also young dogs which lost their will for winning or hunting. Also, in order to get the best results, these dogs are left without food, thrown in freezing water, or being beated....and they’re home was concrete box from which they would be allowed to go out only for races or practice. We are trying to find home for those beautiful creatures with broken spirit, so they could finally find out what love and play is all about.
