Tijekom Disperzija uživali smo u sirupima Agropošte, focaccia sendvičima Gusto, kavi Quahwa Roastery te slasticama Sandrine delicije.

𝟮𝟱 𝗙𝗣𝗦 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 💥

Now that the festival is over, the only thing left to do is scroll through the many amazing photos of Saturday's events by our lovely photographer duo Zoe Šarlija & Lucija Koren.

We started the day with the presentation of the Croatian translation of 𝘈 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘌𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘊𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘮𝘢, edited by our Grand Jury member 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗼 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗵𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗻 at Klet. Alongside Windhausen, the book was presented by 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗞𝗼ž𝘂𝗹 and 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗼 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗶ć, co-editors of the Croatian edition.
And thank you to the whimsical Hanja Delights for making our Meet & Greet later that day extra sweet. 🍰

Then, we're looking back at two more festival programmes: 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗲𝘀 𝟮 and 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟲: 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗟𝗲𝗻𝘀, 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲. 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗲𝘀 𝟮 brought together four films, followed by a discussion with Iva Kraljević, Nela Gluhak and Tomislav Šoban. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟲 took us through landscapes, colonial worlds and eco-sensitive images, with Q&As with Stefan Németh, Miranda Pennell and Elodie Arpa.

And finally, we wrapped up the festival with 𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 — the award ceremony and the screening of the awarded films.

Vrijeme za tradicionalno gostovanje s festivalskim programima u riječkom Art-kino ! U utorak 29. rujna i srijedu 30. rujna na repertoar Art-kina donosimo tri filmska programa, dvije selekcije kratkometražnih filmova (uz gostovanje filmskog autora 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗮 𝗝𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗮) te dugometražni film 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝗮𝘀𝗮, 𝐾𝑟𝑎𝑘𝑎𝑡𝑜𝑎, a i održat će se predstavljanje nove publikacije u ediciji Kvadrati sekunde, 𝑃𝑟𝑖𝑟𝑢𝑐̌𝑛𝑖𝑘 𝑧𝑎 𝑒𝑘𝑠𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑙𝑛𝑖 𝑓𝑖𝑙𝑚 urednika 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗵𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗮. Na predstavljanju će sudjelovati urednici hrvatskog izdanja 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗞𝗼𝘇̌𝘂𝗹 & 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗼 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗰́.

Friday was spent in the company of many friends, connoisseurs and other professionals - at Kinoteka, we saw three programs, one curated by our Grand Jury member Alia Syed, one brought to us by Lynn Loo & Guy Sherwin, and one from International Competition. Rob Jacobs from Collectif Faire-part joined us for a Q&A after the screening of his film What We Said to Brussels Airlines. We wrapped it up at Academy of Fine Arts, admiring Luis Macías's installation The Spectral Mountain.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗜𝗩𝗘 💥 Our final day starts with a book launch, followed by two competition programs, wrapping up with a closing ceremony, including a screening of the award-winning films.

✹ 11.30 AM 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗞 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗠𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: 𝗔 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗮
We are presenting the Croatian translation of A Companion to Experimental Cinema, edited by our Grand Jury member Federico Windhausen. Alongside Windhausen, the book will be presented by Marina Kožul and Miro Frakić as the co-editors of the Croatian edition. At STUDIO-GALERIJA KLET (Ilica 73)

✹ 4 PM 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗲𝘀 𝟮: Four films will be screened: Iva Kraljević's fragile, intimate journey 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘙𝘰𝘰𝘮 𝘉𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥, 'nonsense poem' film by Damir Čučić, 𝘑𝘢𝘣𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘸𝘰𝘤𝘬𝘺, communication-inflected 11:1-9 by Nela Gluhak and the verdant 𝘈𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘎𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘴 by Tomislav Šoban. Joining us for a discussion after the screening: Iva Kraljević, Nela Gluhak and Tomislav Šoban.

𝟮𝟱 𝗙𝗣𝗦 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 💥 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟯

Thursday was a day full of film programmes & conversations, ending with Expanded Cinema and party at Sedmica.

We opened with Grand Jury member 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗼 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗵𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗻's programme 𝘈 𝘊𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘤 𝘊𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘮𝘢, followed by two International Competition sections, 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 and 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀. After the screenings, we were joined for Q&As by filmmakers 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶, 𝗟𝘂𝗶𝘀 𝗘𝘀𝗴𝘂𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀, 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻, 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺, and 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗭𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗲𝗿 (collaborator on 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳… 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳).
The day closed with 𝗚𝘂𝘆 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗶𝗻 and 𝗟𝘆𝗻𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝗼's Expanded Cinema performance of a hand-made film 𝘞𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘪 𝘔𝘔, followed by a conversation with the artists about the film's making and projection process.
