The project has come to an end! 🙏

Thank you to everyone who followed us during this period and to all of the partners: the leading organization behind "Escape for Democracy" Asociación Europa 2020 from Spain 🇪🇸, Kalimera SME from Croatia 🇭🇷, Viimsi Municipality from Estonia 🇪🇪, and WalkTogether Association from Bulgaria 🇧🇬.

During the project our team created an e-learning platform - www.escapefordemocracy.com utilizing digital gamification 🧩 and non-formal education techniques. We produced three virtual escape room modules, available in all our languages and English.

The resources were also complemented by a handbook 📚, featuring 9 inspirational escape room scenarios (our target was 6) and a toolkit for the development of similar citizenship education materials. All of these will be available for use even after the official end of the project on our official webpage.

Escape for Democracy project aims to promote active citizenship in youngsters through technological innovations in non-formal education. This e-platform contains our main project results: 3 virtual educational escape rooms aimed at young people and a Handbook for youth practitioners.

📌 The leading organization behind "Escape for Democracy" is Asociación Europa 2020 from Spain and the partners are Kalimera SME from Croatia, Viimsi Municipality from Estonia, and WalkTogether Association from Bulgaria.

📌 We believe that by teaching our youngsters how to be more active in their own lives, they will have the motivation needed to be the best versions of themselves.

📌Thanks to copious research, we chose the gamification method as our means of communication, seeing as it has unique benefits and is one of the most common interests for our target group

We're thrilled to share the incredible success of our recent multiplier events held in Estonia, Croatia, Bulgaria, and Spain, marking the "live" end of our Escape for Democracy project! 🎉

Each country brought its unique flavor and approach to the events, showcasing the diversity and creativity within our team. From workshops to discussions, to showcasing the games our multiplier events celebrated the project and the months of hard work and dedication towards its goals. 🚀

We're very proud of what we've achieved together and grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such passionate partners and participants. 💪

🌟 Reflecting on our journey as we near the culmination of our implementation period, it's incredible to see how far we've come! Here's a glimpse at some of our major milestones:

🤝 Established a dynamic transnational consortium comprising 4 diverse organizations spanning private and public, profit, and non-profit sectors from Croatia, Estonia, Bulgaria, and Spain.

🌍 Engaged over 10 public bodies as associated partners, fostering collaboration and synergy in our mission.

🙌 Partnered with 8 inspiring youth organizations as associated partners, amplifying our reach and impact within the youth community.

🔍 Crafted 3 immersive virtual educational escape rooms, providing innovative avenues for learning and exploration.

📘 Developed a comprehensive manual elucidating the utilization of virtual educational escape rooms to address citizenship education topics among youth, empowering educators worldwide.

👫 Enlisted the participation of more than 110 enthusiastic young individuals in pilot testing events held across our partner countries during Erasmus Days 2023, igniting a passion for active citizenship.

🎉 Engaged over 100 stakeholders in enlightening multiplier events during EU Youth Week 2024 and EU Days 2024, fostering dialogue and collaboration towards a brighter future.

Each milestone is a testament to our collective dedication and vision. Here's to the transformative impact we've made and the continued journey ahead! 🚀

We are in the final steps of the project! 😇

Our partners came together to celebrate🥳 events aimed at promoting our project and disseminating its results. During our multiplier events, we seized the opportunity to showcase the project and its official website.

We already had multiplier events in 3 countries - Croatia🇭🇷, Spain🇪🇸 and Bulgaria🇧🇬. On the 9th of May Estonia🇪🇪 will have their multiplier event.

🌟 Final Conference Call!🌟

We had our final conference call this week for this wonderful project, "Escape for Democracy." 🎉

During our call we talked about the final steps of our project journey. We also focused on our most recent activities - the multiplier events. We shared what some of us had already completed, to what others were most looking forward to - from engaging presentations to interactive workshops, each one with its own unique twist.

We also looked forward and discussed potential future projects. This seemed like a no-brainer given the effort and dedication each of us has put into this initiative aimed at promoting democratic values and civic engagement.

As we wrap up this project, let's take a moment to celebrate our achievements and the wonderful games we made together!

One of the important results of our project is our Youth Practitioner’s Handbook. 📖

This Handbook for youth practitioners presents state of the art findings relevant to non-formal education of youth based on digital gamification for fostering active citizenship topics to young people in Europe. 🇪🇺

📌It contains a research study based on the data collected in Spain, Croatia, Bulgaria and Estonia, good practice examples of educational resources related to the topics, a collection of educational learning scenarios for the development of educational escape rooms and a list of free tools and resources used for the development of gamified digital educational resources.

🇪🇺 There is going to be European Youth Week 2024 on the 12th of April until the 19th of April. This year the name of the event will be ''Voice your visions'', with focus being on democracy and European elections. 🇪🇺
