🌱💚 Two weeks. Countless memories. Lasting impact.
Our Next.Gen Green Team volunteers have now completed their volunteering journey in Šibenik, and what an incredible two weeks it has been!
Together, we explored how sustainability, culture, heritage, inclusion, and active citizenship are all connected. From supporting the preservation of the historical heritage of Žirje Island, to taking part in environmental actions and learning about local initiatives, our volunteers embraced every opportunity to learn, contribute, and connect with the community.
A special thank you goes to all the partners who made this experience possible:
💚 Fortresses of Culture Šibenik, for inspiring activities on sustainability and heritage preservation, and for introducing volunteers to inclusion and disability awareness through this year's Night of Fortresses Goes Green programme.
💚 Public Institution of Nature of Šibenik Knin County, for supporting the environmental action in Šubićevac Park.
💚 House of Arts Arsen and Coral Centre Zlarin, for welcoming our volunteers and showcasing local culture, innovation, and sustainability.
💚 Sports Recreation Association Grebaštica, for involving the team in a community cleaning action through the Resolution Earth initiative.
💚 Economic School Šibenik, where volunteers had the opportunity to discuss youth participation and European opportunities as part of the European Parliament Ambassador School programme.
Along the way, we cleaned, learned, discovered, shared ideas, met inspiring people, celebrated cultural diversity, and even combined the European Solidarity Corps spirit with the Eurovision Song Contest through an unforgettable intercultural watch party and dinner. 🎶🇪🇺✨
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this journey and, above all, to our amazing volunteers for their energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to make a difference.
