On Monday this week three of our members went to Rijeka in order to attend a multiple clubs meeting on the occasion of a visit of our Rotary District 1913 governor, Tomislav Paškvalin.
Great location, inspiring people, good food.

It was a pleasure meeting fellow Rotarians from Rotary Club Rijeka,
Rotary club Rijeka Novi val, Rotary Club Rijeka-Sveti Vid, Rotary Club Karolina Riječka, Rotary Club Opatija, Rotary Club Opatija Lungomare, Rotary Club Kastav as well as some Rotaract members from Rijeka.

Tonight we had a Rotarian visitor from Rotary Club Verden/Aller, Germany: Lutz Sudergat and his wife Susanne had the chance to taste the excellent cuisine at Hotel&Restaurant Milan P**a, while we chatted about Rotarian and non-Rotarian matters.

It was a very enjoyable evening that also included the traditional Rotarian pennant handover.

With parts of the proceeds of the recent Rotary Regatta our club organized a sailing day trip for kids and especially their caring moms of the Škola za odgoj i obrazovanje - P**a.

More about this you can read in the story published on Istra24:

Prikupljenim sredstvima od donatorske aukcije vina, Rotary klubovi unajmili su katamaran kojeg su koristili učenici odgojno obrazovne skupine u pratnji Đitke Bartolović, Suzane Preden i Danijele Kasumović- Maružin i jedrilicu na kojoj su se u morsku avanturu otisnule majke učenika i članovi u...

⛵ Rotary Regatta P**a–Rovinj–P**a ⛵
70 Rotarians from Croatia, Italy, Slovenia, Serbia, and Montenegro set sail from Marina Polesana P**a – united by a shared passion for the sea and a strong commitment to doing good.

Our regatta wasn’t just a sporting event – it was a charity mission.
💙 Proceeds from registration fees will help fund a youth sailing camp in 2026.
🍷 A w**e auction raised €1,240 to support a special cruise for students of the School of Education in P**a – children with developmental disabilities and their devoted mothers.

This one-day trip around the Brijuni Islands will offer these families unforgettable moments of joy, discovery, and appreciation.

🌊 Sailing brought us together. And together, we gave something back.
Thank you to everyone who made this regatta a meaningful blend of solidarity, service, and celebration.
