ICOM SEE The Regional Alliance of ICOM South East Europe (RA ICOM SEE) was established with the aim to make allied national committees of this part of Europe.

The Regional Alliance of ICOM South East Europe (RA ICOM SEE) started its activities as a working group within ICOM Europe as far back as 2006, although it was officially founded in 2008. It was established with the aim to make allied national committees of this part of Europe more equal and visible and thus more influential in the international museum community. As co-organisers of the “Heritage on Stage – Events in Museum Venues” workshop in P**a, we are grateful for the inspiring discussions and the generous hospitality of the Archaeological Museum of Istria and all our partners. A warm thank you to all speakers and participants for their active engagement, insightful contributions and collegial atmosphere over these two days. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and meeting again for the next workshop in Szentendre this September.

New Board of ICOM SEE Elected

On Tuesday, December 2, the Regional Alliance of the International Council of Museums for South-East Europe (ICOM SEE) held its annual meeting and elections for the new Board at MUZA – Slovenian Banking Museum and Art Gallery in Ljubljana. The event officially concluded the mandate of the outgoing leadership and appointed the new members who will guide the Alliance in the coming term.

The former Board, serving with dedication and professionalism, consisted of:
Alenka Černelič Krošelj (Chair),
Virgil Ştefan Niţulescu (Vice-Chair),
Lidija Milašinović (Vice-Chair),
and Urška Purg (Secretary).

The newly elected Board is composed as follows:
Jurica Sabol (Chair),
Lidija Milašinović (Vice-Chair),
Alma Leka (Vice-Chair),
Alenka Černelič Krošelj (Treasurer),
Matija Dronjić (Secretary).

ICOM SEE extends its sincere gratitude to the outgoing Board, with Alenka Černelič Krošelj as Chair, for her committed leadership, vision, and contribution to fostering collaboration among museums in the region. Warm congratulations and best wishes are extended to the new Chair, Jurica Sabol, and the new Board, with the hope that ICOM SEE will continue to strengthen professional exchange, develop joint projects, and promote the role of museums as platforms for dialogue, peace and cooperation in South-East Europe.
