🚨 *OBAVIJEST GRAĐANIMA*
Nakon višesatne borbe s požarom koji je izbio danas poslijepodne, pred vatrogascima i svim žurnim službama je zahtjevna i neizvjesna noć. Tijekom cijele noći dežurat će na terenu te ulagati maksimalne napore kako bi požar zadržali pod kontrolom i spriječili njegovo daljnje širenje. Zbog velike opožarene površine stanje i dalje zahtijeva izniman oprez i stalan nadzor.
U Općini Blato večeras je održan sastanak Kriznog stožera na kojem su sudjelovali ministar prostornoga uređenja, graditeljstva i državne imovine Branko Bačić, glavni vatrogasni zapovjednik Stjepan Simović, vatrogasni zapovjednici, načelnici općina Blato i Smokvica, predsjednica Općinskog vijeća Općine Blato, načelnik Stožera civilne zaštite, predstavnici Hrvatske gorske službe spašavanja (HGSS) i Hrvatskog Crvenog križa – Gradskog društva Crvenog križa Korčula. Na sastanku je analizirano stanje na požarištu te su dogovoreni daljnji koraci i aktivnosti koje će se provoditi tijekom noći i u narednim satima s ciljem zadržavanja požara pod kontrolom te zaštite ljudi, imovine i prirode.
Molimo sve građane da:
* ne prilaze ugroženim područjima i ne ometaju rad vatrogasaca i ostalih žurnih službi,
* poštuju upute nadležnih službi,
* ne šire neprovjerene informacije te da se o stanju informiraju isključivo putem službenih kanala.
Još jednom upućujemo iskrenu zahvalnost svim vatrogascima, pripadnicima Civilne zaštite, policiji, HGSS-u, Hrvatskom Crvenom križu te svim ostalim službama i volonterima koji svojim predanim, hrabrim i nesebičnim radom štite živote, imovinu i prirodu.
O svim daljnjim okolnostima i razvoju situacije javnost ćemo pravovremeno obavještavati.

Following several hours of battling the wildfire that broke out this afternoon, firefighters and all emergency services are facing a challenging and uncertain night. They will remain on the ground throughout the night, making every effort to keep the fire under control and prevent it from spreading further. Due to the extensive area affected by the fire, the situation continues to require extreme caution and constant monitoring.
A meeting of the Crisis Management Headquarters was held this evening in the municipality of Blato. Attendees included the Minister of Spatial Planning, Construction and State Property, Branko Bačić; Chief Fire Commander Stjepan Simović; fire service commanders; the mayors of the municipalities of Blato and Smokvica; the president of the Blato Municipal Council; the Head of the Civil Protection Headquarters; and representatives of the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (HGSS) and the Croatian Red Cross – Korčula City Branch.
During the meeting, the current situation at the wildfire site was reviewed, and further measures and operational activities for the night and the coming hours were agreed upon, with the aim of keeping the fire under control and protecting people, property, and nature.
We kindly ask all residents to:
* stay away from the affected areas and avoid obstructing the work of firefighters and other emergency services;
* follow the instructions issued by the competent authorities;
* refrain from spreading unverified information and rely exclusively on official sources for updates.
Once again, we express our sincere gratitude to all firefighters, Civil Protection personnel, the police, the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (HGSS), the Croatian Red Cross, as well as all other emergency services and volunteers whose dedication, courage, and selfless efforts are helping to protect lives, property, and the natural environment.
