W serii prezentacji zespołów X Międzynarodowego Festiwalu Folkloru czas na Chorwację: Folklore Group - KUD "Kraluš" Stupnik pod Zagrzebiem. I uwaga: to już trzeci nasz gość, który odwiedza Ożarów w trakcie 🎂 jubileuszowej trasy - widocznie najpiękniejsze urodziny świętuje się w podróży!
😎 Zespół działa nieprzerwanie od 1981 roku i wyrósł w tym czasie na jednego z najbardziej rozpoznawalnych ambasadorów tradycji żupanii zagrzebskiej. Dziś to około stu aktywnych członków w czterech grupach tanecznych i dwóch zespołach tamburaszowych - a repertuar obejmuje choreografie z całej Chorwacji, także z regionów, gdzie żyją silne chorwackie wspólnoty: Wojwodiny i Hercegowiny.

🇭🇷 Their name is a necklace. Kraluš - a string of glass beads, an ornament worn for generations in the Zagreb countryside - has also been adorning Croatian folklore for 45 years, only on stage!
In our series introducing the ensembles of the 10th International Folklore Festival, it's time for Croatia: KUD "Kraluš" from Stupnik, just outside Zagreb. And here's a thing: this is the third guest of ours visiting Ożarów in the middle of an 🎂 anniversary tour - clearly, the finest birthdays are celebrated on the road!
😎 The ensemble has been active without interruption since 1981 and has grown into one of the most recognised ambassadors of tradition in Zagreb County. Today it counts around one hundred active members across four dance groups and two tamburitza ensembles - and the repertoire spans choreographies from all over Croatia, including regions with strong Croatian communities: Vojvodina and Herzegovina.
Their track record speaks for itself:
🥇 1st place for the younger children's group at the national folklore competition (2019)
🥈 2nd place for the tamburitza ensembles at the Croatian national competition of concert ensembles (2016)
💿 Two albums - one of them nominated for the Porin Award for best folk album
🌍 Performances in over a dozen countries across Europe and beyond - from Canada to the Emirates
🎪 Since 2024 - organiser of its own international children's folklore festival under the auspices of CIOFF
