New computer-controlled electronic keyer "for Windows" WinKeyer-2 by K1EL created in the radio amateur workshop by 9A3SW. The keyer is a separate unit responsible for correct and accurate CW typing. The computer does not type anything; it sends ASCII text to be typed to an external unit, the keyer as an external unit takes it over and types it superbly. With the help of this solution, problems that can arise when a computer types telegraphy due to latency or background processes that can "spoil" the quality of telegraphic characters have been avoided. WinKeyer is a real little miracle and has a lot of features that will satisfy the needs of even the most demanding radio telegraphers. Practically the entire history of telegraphy is built into it. The best thing is that it follows the radio amateur logic that great things do not have to be expensive. It can be connected to a computer via a USB port and be controlled by a computer or work as a separate device. It is powered by a computer via USB cable, and when working independently (standalone) from a 9V battery with negligible power consumption. The keyer is very reliable and stable in operation even in conditions of strong electromagnetic fields.
