Na Velu Gospu Blatska Plokata ponovno pripada Smotri blatskog folklora. ✨
LXIII. put.
Posebna gošća šezdeset i treće Smotre bit će sopranistica Marija Salečić, uz klavirsku pratnju Petra Akrap .
Šezdeset i treća Smotra. Gotovo stoljeće Kumpanjije. Generacije koje je grade.

On Vela Gospa, Blato’s Plokata once again belongs to the Blato Folklore Festival. ✨
For the LXIII time.
Since the first Festival was held in 1963, generations of Kumpanjija have gathered on Plokata on Vela Gospa to present the richness of Blato’s folklore. For more than six decades, the Festival has brought together dances representing different layers of our local dance tradition – Kotiljun, a sequence of carnival dances including the tango, waltz, mazurka and “četiri pasa”, Blatski tanac, and finally Kumpanjija – the traditional sword dance, which brings the evening to its traditional close.
The special guest of the sixty-third Festival will be soprano Marija Salečić, accompanied on piano by Petra Akrap. Marija completed her studies in solo singing at the University of Zagreb Academy of Music and has performed in opera productions and concerts in Croatia and abroad. At the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, she performed the role of Alkmene in Boris Papandopulo’s Amfitrion, and she has also appeared as a soloist with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall. She is the recipient of the Grand Prix at the Oper Oder Spree Festival and has been a member of the Croatian Radiotelevision Choir since 2026.
She will be joined by pianist Petra Akrap, a multiple award-winning young musician whose career includes solo and chamber performances as well as collaborations with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, the Zagreb Soloists and the orchestra of the Croatian National Theatre in Split.
Sixty-three Festivals. Almost a century of Kumpanjija. Generations that continue to shape it.

More than a dance. A living heritage.
