Today, Samir underwent emergency surgery for appendicitis. Everything happened so quickly, but thank God, the surgery was successful, and he is now recovering.

September is Independence Month in Honduras, a special time to honor our country and participate with pride in the civic traditions that celebrate our national identity. 🇭🇳

At Proyecto Manuelito, we teach our children to love their country, respect its national symbols, and understand the values of responsibility, unity, and service.

May God bless Honduras, our children, and our people. 💙🤍💙

Children’s Day in Honduras 🇭🇳

Today we celebrate our children. At Manuelito, our hearts are filled with gratitude for every child we have been able to welcome, protect and serve through education, food, medicine, clothing, and the Word of God.

But today is also a day to reflect.

There are still children out there with no food, no safe place to sleep, no medicine, and sometimes no one to turn to. While some children celebrate today, others are simply trying to make it through another day.

Please keep them in your prayers. 🙏
We will keep working to reach them, protect them, and remind them that they are not alone.

Every child deserves love, dignity, protection, and hope. ❤️🇭🇳

Have you ever felt like your life was empty or without purpose? That is how Oscar felt when he arrived at Proyecto Manuelito as a child.

Today, Oscar is training to become a Special Forces soldier in Honduras. His journey has not been easy. He was rejected and overlooked many times, but God had a different plan for his life.

Recently, Josué and Carlos, his foster brother from Manuelito—who is now serving in the Honduran Air Force—visited him during his training. It was a joyful and meaningful moment for all of them.

Oscar is deeply grateful to every person who has supported him along the way. Your love, prayers, and generosity have been part of his story.

Sometimes a child only needs someone to believe in him long enough to discover the purpose God has prepared for his life. ❤️🙏

A Bible is more than a book. It can become a light, a guide, and a source of hope in a child’s life. 📖❤️

Thanks to the generosity of the Bible Society of Honduras, 90 more children at Proyecto Manuelito will have access to God’s Word for their devotionals and Bible studies.

We work every day to educate our children and prepare them for the future, but above all, we want them to grow knowing the love, truth, and hope found in the Word of God. 🙏

Mayerlin and Edwin are siblings and students at our educational center. Their circumstances are incredibly difficult, yet they arrive each day with a smile, a positive attitude, and a kindness that touches everyone around them. They are sweet, respectful children who continue to move forward despite challenges no child should have to face.

In addition to the education they receive at Proyecto Manuelito, they are also able to share some of their meals in our dining hall. At home, food is not always guaranteed.

This is why Manuelito exists: to serve children and families who truly need us, especially those who may have nowhere else to turn.

Every meal, every class, every safe space, and every opportunity becomes possible because of God’s grace and because of people like you who choose to care.
