Hogar Esperanza/Hope House, located in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, opened its doors to the first two children in September of 2000. We are His arms extended.

Christian ministry serving vulnerable children and families in Honduras through a Home for children (Hope House), School (Hope Christian Academy), Clean water distribution (Hope Fountain), Hope Creative Arts, Dental/Medical brigades, and other projects It is a home for orphaned, abandoned and abused children, a safe-haven that offers them the opportunity to become productive members in society, d

edicated members in the kingdom of God, and agents of change (in their families, city, country and even the world if the Lord allows). The children receive a Christian education, nutritional meals, medical attention, clothing, shelter, spiritual training and guidance, plus love and affection that they have never known. Our key scripture is found in Jeremiah 29:11 which states, For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Our goal is to take children from what seems like hopeless situations, and show them that there is a great divine plan for their lives and that the hope they need can only be found through Jesus Christ. Even though their families and society might reject them or give up on them, Jesus is always there with His arms open wide. It is our responsibility to reach out and embrace these needing and suffering children and to place them on a different path, a God appointed path of life. The children of Hope House come from different backgrounds and experiences, but all entered with a lot of hurts, suffering, malnutrition, and an overall negative disposition. Despite the harsh beginnings, every child in this home has made a drastic change and continues to do so. Their stoic and sad faces have converted into joyous smiles. To God be ALL the glory!

🎄 We celebrated Christmas with the families of Hope Fountain through a joyful day of games, fellowship, and a shared meal. Food boxes and clothing were distributed, and every child received a stuffed animal. Above all, we honored the true reason for this season—the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.🎄

One of our favorite days of the year—
🎄 HopeKids Christmas Celebration. 🎄

Children from Hope House, Hope Academy, and Hope Fountain came together to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. It was a day filled with games, songs, food, gifts, and countless smiles.

Above all, the day was centered on giving honor and glory to the Son of God, who took on flesh to bring peace, love, and salvation to the world.

We are deeply grateful for the Restaurant Valdezpin and their continual love, attention and generosity towards our ministry.

What a festive and fun afternoon they provided the kids of Hope House. The smiles they brought to the kids’ faces was priceless.

May God bless their business in abundance and show favor upon each person who works there.

This past week, the children of Anchor of Hope Ministry were blessed by a special visit from Iglesia Esperanza Viva. They brought a day filled with fun, games, and lots of joy—but most importantly, they were intentional in sharing the message of Christ’s birth, praying for and ministering to each child.

Hope Christian Academy (Academia Cristiana Esperanza) is incredibly proud of the young people who graduated from 9th grade today. The future is looking bright! We thank the Lord for the privilege of pouring into each of these students and watching them grow in wisdom, character, and faith.

Today’s graduation was especially meaningful, as the two original kindergarteners who began with us in our very first school year (2015) have now completed our full 10-year academic program. What a beautiful milestone of God’s faithfulness and what He has done in their lives.

We have had an unusual amount of rainfall lately and today was one of the worst. The walk way to the school has been completely washed out. We are looking into future repairs and options, but for the meantime, we are having to be very creative on getting the kids to school. 🙏🌧️
